I actually dont pay for any of the accounts anymore. 100 mill isk ingame = 30 day time code..
So inturn.. i mine for 6 hours a month for all my accoutns time =). Id be a poor poor guy if i was dishing out nearly 100 bucks a month for this game lol
I guess the only thing i really wish i had right now ingame was a 40 million SP character.. ive got alot of training ahead of me to fully use my dread and beyond. I suppose thats another thing i can set my eyes on.. buying a huge Sp character hehe.
I thought about buying a Cap 2 bpo.. but realized... who in the right mind would let one of them go.. for any ammount of isk. ====================================================================

6 Accounts, impressive, not unheard of though rare outside the Macro Community...
I will say you have done *ALOT* but there is so much more to do though, exploring was/is a favorite hobby I had in EVE. Playing a part in a an Alliance that shapes the game is nice, try events out they are fun.
Those of us who have stuck with RP still like it, espcially those like me who mostly PvP with it
I see a whole lot of Combat/politics you haven't tried, but yeah you've done loads I never have!
2 Accounts now for 2 years and im still broke all the time. So how about you send me some isk, and I'll take you for a night on the town, exotic dancers and spiced wine all you want! For God, Empire, and Sarum! |

But it's so much fun to randomly flame people ... at least that's the impression I have about 90% of the times I start reading the more frequented parts of these forums here. Although I have to admit that it's a lot worse with other games... ____________________

I would personally buy up as many tech 2 bpo's as I could and sell things at a resonable price, thus making a nice profit for myself and making tech 2 prices a bit more...that word I can't think off, damnit!

A few things you could try to make the game fun again:
Large scale capital ship production (on your own)
Stick an outpost up in P3EN, FD-MLJ or HED-GP (again, on your own)
Attempt to blow up Marginis, Borealis or Blue Pill (on your own)
Pirate people in, say, Jita or Oursulaert
Give Up Mining (i think you can get patches for this)
Be instrumental in the crystallisation of Eve's future most powerful alliance
Pay a harem of noob slaves 50m a day each to follow you around and sing your praises in local
Be one of those weird pokemon people who collect everything in game
Join exiles and/or give me all your spare cash to invest in speculative futures and bonds which will pay vast sums to ecologically sound projects for the next 30 years and help amputee orphans get over pet grief trauma syndrome.
Play SWG, WoW or Guild Wars for a month. Then you will thank your lucky stars you picked eve.

Someone else buy all "resonable" t2 stuff from you and place these to market for current value.

Create a corporation. There's an opening, I think, for an experienced mining corporation in 0.0 space. There are a lot of less-experienced players who want to make that jump into mining in non-empire space, but who don't have the protection to be able to survive. Their corporations are in empire or don't have the firepower, and most of the current 0.0 corps seem to be combat-oriented.

Thanks for the ideas.. After playing with the dread yesterday i kinda got bored.. cause that was like my huge goal recently.. and after i played with it.. and found out it sucks more arse then thought moving and using.. i kinda am looking for somthing else to do.
So today i spent a few hours mining.. *sigh*
Got a few convos from people who saw this post asking for Isk or stuffs =) one guy asked for me to fund his faction Bship lol.. granted i didnt help him.. i did have a pretty funny convo.
By no means am i quiting.. I enjoy the game And being that i dont pay my real life money to play anymore thats not really an issue.. I mean ill probably just keep mining and gathering iskies and stuff and let my team train.. Maybe full 5 hulks or somthing for them.. *shrug*..
im sure ill think of some weird thing to do =)

Edited by: Demangel on 31/01/2006 01:54:28 ROFL, now this is a whine thread I wish I could join in on! But seriously I know it's not a whine :)
Anyway, if it was me, I'd play the mysterious ecclectic uncle money bags for some alliance. You know the guy who shows up for ALL PVP ops in a dread even when thats the worst possible ship to use... Like even when you know it would be lost, you fly in nothing less. That would definately get you noticed.
I would also likely fly in only the rarest most expensive ships and fittings period.
I would also use my cash as leverage and put myself into a position of power in an alliance if at all possible heheh.
In short, you have found out how to generate oodles of ISK for yourself, NOW I think it's time for you to really find out just how fast you can lose it. I'm serious! Ever see that movie brewsters millions? Do just like him! I don't mean give it away, but spend it on gifts, and simply make yourself sick on all the ISK you have till you can't stand the sight of it.
Heck you could buy up everything imaginable in an area, just to create demand for it.
Imagine how awesome it would be if everyone logged into Jita tomorrow, and there was nothing for sale anywhere in the region for the typical player? How hillarious would that be! Then wait a few days, and flood the market with all the stuff you bought.
Obviously it might not be possible to suck Jita dry of all highpriced things, but certainly the things in high demand that typicall players would want.
Heck you could even buy up all the office space in jita, and refuse to ever sell it heheh.
You could IMHO litteraly change the face of a big part of eve on your own, the only question is, just how far are you willing to go with your near infinate sums of cash? If you can't think of anything, here is your answer, do the unthinkable, buy everthing out of jita that you can. Period. Now THAT would make you very famous indeed, and I bet you'd have a blast with the response :)
Galaxion > If you drove a car shaped like a thorax women would call you Demangel > Dude... I would call.. Demangel > wait that sounded g@y I bet. Galaxion > Just a bit.

I think i would actually pay 10 billion isk to go to polaris and say hi to the Dev team when they are ingame there =oP
now im not saying i have endless isk.. its just that when i need money Im able to go out and basicly pound it out. I rairly have more then a billion in actual isk on me unless im saving for somthing.
I do however like the idea of buying Jita out.. just buying every item off the market lol. nothing but npc sold stuff left =oP ====================================================================

So I played for over 2 years, my income is only from PvP... I never had over 2 b in my wallet... if I did I would have spent it on ships... sure I got loads of assets - i don't do it for the cash/better equipment/better ships. I play eVe because it gives me a adrenalin kick when I engage a decent target. I enjoy telling others in loacal that they better pay or lie down and die.
oh and I enjoy making it hard for ppl to experience an exodus to 0.0 - try using escorts ppl

I definitely like Demangel's idea best. Join a medium-sized PvP corp and play grandiosely expensive and enjoyable ships. Show up in your carriers and command ships, faction anything, etc... Outfit yourself a fleet of the most interesting ships you can find, then revel in using them.
Mining kills your soul. Its time to go breathe new life into it.

Naaah... I call shenannigans on this one. I play multiple MMOs, pay the subscription on all of them, am an adult with a good income, and have multiple high-end computers in my house. I'm not a stranger to the cost of entertainment. Yet, I find it hard to justify anyone paying nearly $90 a month for accounts that do nothing but mine.
And yet he writes:
Quote: And being that i dont pay my real life money to play anymore thats not really an issue
. . .because he sells in-game ISK for timecards.
The only difference between buying ISK from a farmer and buying ISK from this guy is that CCP gets a cut of the action when you go the gamecard route.
I really don't see 'em *****ing down on that any time SoonÖ.

Take hundreds of shuttles and totally block a gate i've never done anything other then the occasional mission.. and mine.. of course. Mine mine mine! (I added the second line as a show of lack of experience, I can't suggest much more then what I did -- Except buying out all T2 items on the market of a certain region and messing with prices which has been recommended already)

You might try switching to a more role-play style as some stated earlier:
1. Be the person the helps to nudge the Corporate politics of Eve along (i.e the Shadowmaster of Eve) 2. Build a Corporation from scratch and help it grow into a Mega-Corp (this will take alot of patience & skill) 3. You can do both of these and still train your "Team" up for whatever toys you want (faction ships, carriers, titans, exhumer, etc.)
just my .02 isk
Good Luck finding another avenue of fun in Eve

My aspect in eve is to be a leader of a successful corp, that was done quite some time ago, the real hassle is keeping it up.
at the head of a corp and in a major alliance it keeps the boredom low as enemies are always around and politics change like the winds.
Being that life is not about me but about a corp and an alliance the goals go beyond what i can do.
So i see the game as my corp and what we can acheive as a team.
I have managed to gather a dedicated group of players and together we have pulled of an impressive array of assets.
I was lucky as me and some mates had a plan for a corp during beta and i have never been outside my corp. To much going on to do such a thing.
