So because hes an Icon in the eyes of some, he should be subject to a different set of rules than the rest?
And since when has CCP had to justify their actions to you?
Who are you again? You sound like this little kid from Jumpgate.

I asked a question of the original poster...
Even if repeated it was still more on topic than your above 2 cents worth.

I'll bring you up to speed, then.
First, he's not "an icon in the eyes of some." He's an icon, end of line. His exploits have been published in PC gamer, and his chronicles shape and define the world we play in.
Second...nobody is suggesting he should operate by a different rule-set. What is being suggested is that the current rule-set is obsolete and needs modified.
We up to speed now?
Hes an icon in the eyes of some, end of story. He did some stuff that got him recognised, in your and others eyes, he may be an icon, but in the eyes of many... they havent even heard the name. Iconic? nah.
My exploits have also been published in numerous magazines... wooopify ****en dooo.
And if this thread was about CCP's need to change their rules, the original post would have directly addressed that, not the indirect approach he took.
Now catch up.

And because speeding tickets help pay police wages, that makes you their boss somehow too, right?

I've no clue what Jumpgate has to do with this, but yes, I did play it.
Thought I recognised the whining

I think that most can agree on.

Since my taxes go toward paying police salaries, yup. If I have a problem with a police officer, I can report him and possibly have him fired.
That mentality will pass with age

And to get this thread back on track, I actually did intend for this thread to address the Istvaan ban specifically
You attempt to change the rules, by breaking the rules...
Can you not see where you went wrong?

Originally by: j0sephine This is classic catch-22, and there's no 'right' way about it. (the only currently allowed way i.e. e-mailing moderators is due to very nature of e-mail not public)[/quote
So contacting CCP directly first, isnt the right way to go about it?
