NPC: 7x modulated megapulse, tractor beam 3x cap II LAR II, 3x rat specific hardener, CPR, 3x HS II
Fleet: 7x Tachyon (II), medium remote rep/med neut 2x sb II, 1x TC II 2x RCU (II), 1600mm rolled tungsten, cpr, tracking enhancer, 3x HS II
Small group pvp 1: 7x megapulse, nos/medium neut 2x sb II, warp disruptor/tc II large rep II, 2x plates, eanm II, cpr(?), 3x HS II
Small group pvp2: 4x megapulse, 4x heavy nos sb II, warp disruptor, web large rep II, 2x plates, 2x eanm II, 3x hs II
something like that =)
And geddon is mainly dmg dealer, less of a tanker...
Oh and the *** setup at the end... 7x megapulse, 1xnos 1x sb, 1x web, 1x 20km scram 5x WCS, 3x HS II
All about target jamming |

Edited by: Agama on 12/04/2006 05:33:53 I keep getting stuck on the fact that I think you need at least an afterburner to get get in ideal Pulse range and need a nos to get smaller ships off me.
I cant use T2 Large Pulse yet...hence no T2 on top.
Here is another setup I was thinking of trying (I got a TS nano....might as well use it). Should I just not bother with the three heatsinks and just go for 2 plates? Bear in mind this will be only in small group PVP probably with 1 other wingman. (maybe a missle ferox or raven).
Any feedback would be great.
HIGH-SLOTS : ~~~~~~~~~~~~ 6x Mega Modulated Pulse Energy Beam I [1xMultifrequency L] 1x Dual Heavy Modulated Pulse Energy Beam I [1xMultifrequency L] 1x Heavy Diminishing Power System Drain I
MED-SLOTS : ~~~~~~~~~~~~ 1x J5 Prototype Warp Inhibitor I 1x X5 Prototype I Engine Enervator 1x LiF Fueled I Booster Rockets
LOW-SLOTS : ~~~~~~~~~~~~ 3x Heat Sink II 1x Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II 1x True Sansha Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane 1x Internal Force Field Array I 1x Large 'Accommodation' Vestment Reconstructer I 1x Capacitor Power Relay I (got no spare CPU)
DRONE BAY : ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

well.. although only reading quickly through this one, I didn't see a single mega pulse setup so hear's mine.
7x mega pulse 2
2x sensor booster 1x target painter
4x HS II 2x Tracking enchancer II (or comps, alway's forget which are low and which are mid) 1x PDU II 1x Large repper II
most things die a horribly fast death, including dual rep vampanix's
Optimal off 18km, DPS; I have no idea but most things dead within 20 seconds or so.
This is with Large pulse spec lvl5, amarr bs lvl5 and most gunnery at lvl 5 as well, results may vary --------------
Be careful you have just entered Terrorbear stomping grounds.... |

Drop a heat sink for a hardner / plate mate, the stacking penalty really starts to bite at 4. Nice setup tho otherwise.
OP - best geddon i've seen belonged to Duri X i think, so have a look around for his pvp setups. PvE i'm sure you can manage on your own.

I'd be interested if you posted your damage mod and rof with 3 heat sinks and with 4. I've found it to be about 1.5-2% increase between 3 and 4 gyros, so i tend to fit other mods in that 4th slot.

Duri X are using an awesome setup, didn't knew he posted it here, but it took me some time to figure it out, but killmails and loot collecting does the job.

3 heat sinks 743.55 dps(max skills no drones) 4 heat sinks 787.858 dps(max skills no drones) so only 40 dps more.. that dnt seem like much when you already have 700..

Tried and tested.
7 Dual Heavy Pulse II 1 Heavy NOS
1 Sensor Booster II 1 Fleeting Web 1 Faint Warp Prohibitor
1 Large T2 Rep 1 Energised Adaptive Nano II 1 Internal Forcefield Array I 2 1600 Tungsten 2 Heat Sink II 1 Tracking Enhancer II
Solo:-
Same as above but drop the NOS for a med neut, and swop the Sensor Booster for a Cap Injector. You will then beat 2xNOS Ravens.
OMGWTFBBQ
7 Mega Pulse II w/Conflag 1 Med NOS
2 Sensor Booster II 1 Faint Warp
1 Large T2 Rep 1 Energised Adative Nano II 1 Damage Control 1 1600 Plate 3 Heat Sink IIs 1 CPR
Load with Conflag. BBQ a couple of BS before you run out of cap.

Arma can be setup to either tank or gank but not both. I have tanked Angels in a Geddon in 0.0 without any issues.
If memory serves me right, the large drone bay and Beams+AB+Tracking II + 3xHS2s are your best bet for gank.
Side note: Apoc has decent damage if setup correctly. With two cruise launchers + Heavy Drones, you can tank and gank NPCs with ease.
Or just get a bloody Raven like 99.99% of EVE

I combination of the 2 best solo Geddon pilots in south Eve set-up's makes this little beauty.
HIGH:
7 x dual heavy modulated pulse beams 1 x heavy nosferatu
1 x fleeting scrambler 1 x fleeting web 1 x heavy electrochemical cap injector (4 x 800 charges)
2 x large accomodation rep 2 x 1600mm tungsten plate 2 x energized adaptive nano membrane II 1 x dmg control 1 x heat sink II
4 x wasp II. 5 x light drones.
Seems to be the business. ___________________________________

Huh? Apoc can't fit full rack of heavies and why in 7 hells are you putting cruise launchers on it? Its a turret ship.

Because they fit and they do all damage types. Just providing my setup experience for PVE. And it was a side note so dont get so bent out of shape. Gee whiz, kids these days. |

7 T2 Tach's + Gleam 3 Cap Rechargers 2 RCU II, 3 HS II, 2 Adaptive II, 1 Med armor rep II
Looks odd, but considering that I can hit hard from 20km to 55km without having to get into optimal, it's great. Warp in, lock and start killing stuff. My highest hit to date was with this setup, 1,8xxhp on one hit (it's in my bio for those interested).
Although the DPS on this is lower than a t2 MP fitted geddon the burst damage is incredible, on par with minmitar and arty....and the ROF isn't bad. According to my in game logs I did 4800hp of damage to my buddies raven in 6sec (was like a volly and a half when I turned it all off).
In fleet battles I swap out the cap rechargers for TII Sensor boosters, and the Adaptive nano's for TII tracking enhancers...I can then instantly swap from 20km mega damage to 190km hard hitting sniper in the middle of a battle.

CAPTIN BILTMORE: Interesting setup and certainly one to consider. I noticed two low slots being used by the RCUs. Is the grid that tight or u still skilling? |

It does fit (diminishing). And the pulse energy beams are the lowest cpu using equivilants of a Dual heavy pulse laser. Its just the name. Its still a pulse.
Might wanna check your stats in future before posting :)
643DPS that set-up btw with the 4 x wasp II out.
