11th day into eve trial, friend gave me a ship learned the ropes, first 400k vexor was double t2 implants and someother named stuff. "T3h Motherload"
It was some system that had a commander spawn every 4th belt 21 or more belts total, I think I was the first person in that system for a month or something, crazy :O starts with Reag or Raeg or something.. The place is 100% pirate infested now tho =/
Also I fell out of warp in the carrou plex due to no energy when warping and came out infront of 16 heavy drones SCOOP'ed
and that 15m? cargo expander one down from local hull also in carrou plex days later.
best newbie luck in eve I think :D loved the warpout one the best.

It does happen and often, you just gotta put the time into it. I scooped a Local hull conversion expanded cargo worth 30 mill from a lvl2 silence the informant mission, and tech secrets capt sometimes drops a 34 mill implant. picked up the military and political skills from my agent 15k LP,but im learning them.
also when mining,if you hang around an hour or two, youll get a dread gurista thatll drop faction ammo or something

Do missions by running agents. Collect loyalty points (LP) and claim offers from agents later. 15k LP should give you military connections.
its a very long time ago that i got the 15k skillbook offer from my agent.

I got one yesterday and my previous one was last week. I normally run three or four agents at 15K-17K.
It could be luck. Or it could be CCP's definition of random.

Originally by: Andril did you read my post? our corp had a multitude of noobs that were less than 2 weeks old and we even went on pvp ops with them, and they were successful. They even started their own gangs to rat in 0.0, a group of noobs less than 1 month old.
0.0 is only as unsafe if you are dumb about your actions and dont watch local
1) I didn't have a multitude of noobs when I started out. In fact, I had all of me. How did you get a multitude in less than 2 weeks? I must confess I started the game by trying to learn the game system, I think I wasn't even sure what 0.0 meant for the first two weeks.
2) Ahh, I guess I should have watched local when a guy waits at a gate after a _jump_ (not warp), and locks and scrambles me in the time it takes me to turn towards the next gate. Obviously watching local would have been the right course of action. Thank you for pointing out my dumbness, and the correct precaution to take in that situation. I must confess, when I saw him on overview, I forgot all about watching local. I guess that's why I lost my ship. And what I've heard from other players, this is a fairly common tactic, so it wasn't an isolated incident, either.

Just for the heck of it, I went out to 0.0 had 8 million in wallet, by the time I got board with it I had 26 million and a membrane thingy that gives 22.5% resistance to all. Go figure dont even know what its worth. So I fitted it out on my rifter....

Like I believe was said earlier, it's not hard to live in 0.0, and really isn't that much different from Empire if you've got a good corp. But the main problem is getting in and out of 0.0 to Empire when you need supplies.

Yes, something like that happened to me too. In the last days of my trial I looted a named expanded cargo from a L2 mission: shockingly, the market gave me a quotation above 10 millions, which was 5-6 times what I had in my wallet.
Me:
After picking my jaw up from the floor, the dilemma ... what do with it, use it in my hauler or sell it and invest in trade goods. I chosed the second and from that little capital started my trader career.
It never, ever happened again.

Faction drops are pure luck, but can be so helpful to new players.
I picked up a True Sansha Stasis web when I was new, and that 65m was really useful.
Equally, you can make yourself lucky. The more NPC's you kill, the more good drops you get. Same applies with killing other players.

messed around on the testserver when they had RMR running, warped into a 0.3 belt and was confronted by 2 BC npc's 1 standard and 1 shadow version or something (all i know it was like 500k bounty) and got me a serpentis webbifier...
Now why did it have to be the testserver?

Certainly true, we've got several 'younger' players in our corp in 0.0
The real question is, why form a corp made up of only new players, and then expect corps/alliances who have been in 0.0 for a long time to cede territory to them? I know it's nice and all to make a corp of your own with a few of your friends, but if you take this route, you really can't complain.... while many 0.0 alliances are either closed to new corps (or charging exorbitant rates), a multitude of 0.0 based corporations are looking for new players.
The long and short of it is, if you want access to 0.0 space without existing alliances hunting you down, consider joining a corp already inside of an alliance.

every belt everyday has a shadow rat .. ie a named rat... if you want to make serious money go into a 0.2 system and rat all day .... youll get rubbishy stuff but it adds up cargo expanders are dropped regualarly ....
and hit only the crusiers and the bc's and any ship they are with ...Youll get a shadow spawn and in that if its a cruiser shadow and not a frig shadow youll get an implant everytime. even bpc's but they drop in 0.0. Implants in 0.2 and below to 0.0.
10 to 40 million a throw .. but it can take hours to get a shadow serpentis ... im currently in angel dedspace hunting for a domination angel ... to get me a machuriel bpc worth 600 million or so .. may take me a few weeks but ill get one ..!

If your travling thorugh low sec you should have stabs on, and if you run into a medium-largecamp, ie more ships to scram you than you have stabs you should have seen them on the map.
I have been in 0.0 for well over 3 months now and have only lost one ship, i have been very active, ratting, mining, travling back to empire, and such. Yes there are times where you will run into an unavoidable situation, but the key is to minimize this as much as possible by:
a) Use your map b) Watch local c) Use instas d) If your flying something you dont want to lose fit stabs or dont bring it into 0.0

Do I ever find expensive mods?
Well, just last week I found a pirate imp that got me 200mil. And I got some other mod (a shield... thingy) when I was a newb that shifted for 170mil or something. But appart from that? Yes, all the time. ___
