Harfgahn	Posted - 2006.02.06 22:46:00 - [1] Hi all, I was sat down this morning trying to think of a video I could make besides the usual fights etc. I thought some sort of news broadcast like you would normally see on TV but set within EVE (very sketchy details only still in my head really) So It would be eve news presented as a broadcast video. I would have to be a one off so not something I did everyweek for eve news lol but I want to get enough detail in to keep people happy, I just want to create something different and Not shoot pop etc... Any ideas on this idea of mine OR other ideas for Videos for me please post and I'll see what I can do Regards Harfgahn

Other ideas for vids would be: "Less is more" style vid. Simple music, simple action, great editing. (I've mentioned this in an earlier thread). I'm trying to make something, I just can't get enough of vid-editing. But it's hard to bring something new. You have to really do something amazing to get your video appreciated these days, don't ya. ---------- Just Heavy.

Long fights and fleet stuff don't work very well at all unless you've got some amazing camera skills or you got a team frapping for you :) I've tried in my vid's for good edits and sync with the music. Been playing around with more use of After Effects as well. Its tricky to do anything but fights these days :/ I've got a couple of idea's for other kinds of eve video's but they're mostly concept stuff (like syncing up loads of fights / explosions to some good heavy classical orchestral music ) or things like recruitment vids (again, more fights -_-). The only way I can think to take the quality of video's up to the next level is to have the new proposed recording system implemented (so you can set up shots exactly as you want them) or by having multiple camera pov's in a single fleet and doing funky cuts with that.
Kar'uthan	Posted - 2006.02.07 01:57:00 - [5] This is something I'd do if my computer had the capability, I don't believe it does. Create a short story of the various GM run events and eve back story. One that I have quite a few details on is the starkmanir ritual one, nearly spoiled by some then Finite Horizon members, but saved etc. Those would be quite hard to do. Some of the backstory on the other hand could be done quite easly, but both a good voice over is needed and use of artwork photos, and the eve chronicles are limited to about one artwork only in most cases I think. So do that right, it will be very good. What do you think? Kar
