I'm just curious why BS's should be greater than any other ship type. They aren't hard to train for, they aren't expensive, they don't actually sacrifice anything except moving more slowly than other ships. So why is it that people feel they should be wtfpwn mobiles? Because its called a "battle" ship? Seems silly to me.

well... because at pilot frigate 5 or cruiser 5 shouldn't be able to kill me a battleship 5. Risk >= reward / skill invenstment. A CCP hallmark. One that I happen to agree with. I am all for roles as long as that role isn't being bait for noobs who trained up frigate 5 while they were mining in a thorax for an assault frigate or interceptor.
So basically you think that SP should make or break the fight. If that's the case why should anyone ever start playing this game when they can never catch up? This is just faulty reasoning in my opinion, especially considering a frigate pilot could have 10x the skill points and still lose to a BS pilot.

Could anyone please explain to me a good reason to fly anything OTHER than a BS at this point in the game. Lack of skill points to get into a BS doesn't count, it doesn't take long to get them.

Probably because you're a nub? No offence but I see alot AF, HAC, Frigs than I do bs.
I'm guessing you mean that you see a lot [more] AF, HAC's, and frigs. Just because you see more of something doesn't mean it isn't inferior to something else. There are many reasons to fly other ships than battleships in my opinion, none of them are practical in-so-far as combat is concerned though.
