I've also been under the impression that some RP/Live events take place in Jove space... that having it be unpopulated means it can be better controlled for such events. Does anyone have firsthand experience of this? |

The Jove are actually deeply involved in Eve's story line. Go have a gander at the Eve Fiction section (probably best looking at the old forums for now) to get an idea of what CCP are up too.
It's just a shame the actual story isn't accessable easily or on a casual basis. |

IIRC, CCP said that they will EVENTUALLY open up the Jove regions in a future expansion. Other lolrp possibilities for creating new space is to open up the EVE gate, to give us access back to Terran space.
Of course, EVE has probably diverted immensely from CCP's original 10-year "vision" for EVE, so no idea if they will actually do this or not. |

Terran space would involve actually mapping our galaxy. I don't see them doing that any time soon and suspect that is why they made their own space.

omg...after i stopped laughing....i remembered this nite i had with this Jove guy....he was all like your pretty and stuff....then I gave him a nite he wont forget. But he never called.... So now I am hurt and twisted with rage......we need to burn Polaris to the ground.
Also they may have some better shopping in Jove space...and my space barbie is looking for Prada shoes or a nice Tiffany bracelet.

That is on the test server. To have seen Jove in a belt you would have to go to 03 to 05ish. Their frigs hurt more than a BS. Bastards one shot my thorax.-á |
