Uhm what happened to Incarna? They're already discussing the Winter expansion and we haven't even left our CQ. What's up with that?
Edit: mainly I want to know where the rotunda is with all the bars and shops we were supposed to be able to open? Did that get tossed and I missed it? |

Until CCP figures out how to load 100+ avatars in a station setting without frying everything they will be working on the FIS part. |

WiS has nothing to do with micro transactions and the most active thread recently shows you are not only ugly, but an idiot! CCP has over reacted to a loud portion of Eve pilots that were frustrated that CCP had focused on a lot of other things other than Eve.
So CCP in their knee jerk response they threw WiS out the dirigible.
Incarna is on "ice". everyone should find the other thread I started and post their support if they think CCP should still have some developers working on WiS.

Incarna WiS doesn't make enough sense/content/money without WoD.
And when they realised that they couldn't found EvE, Dust and WoD on the diminishing money we paid for EvE, they had to ice/delay one of the three.
WoD was the obvious one to delay.
And with WoD delayed, continued development on Incarna/WiS was delayed because there was not a lot of reason to put much effort in it without any synergy effects.

Just some infos without any promise.
Even if you say that it requires 6 months or years, at least we'll know it.

Not necessarily. More like - current PCs do not have the processing power to make carbon viable.
I *like* carbon and most things I've seen about it. But it's something that needs to be ruthlessly optimized for performance before it can be taken a step further... or wait years for technology to catch up with its processing requirements.

They've already explained the future. They said (and this is almost an exact quote) that Incarna is no longer in active development, but they may revisit it at a later date.
AKA, any incarna development that takes place won't happen within the planned release schedule that they have, so probably 2 years minimum. |

The Incarna concept was seduced, hijacked and ultimately murdered by CCP thousand dollar jeans and CCP monocle who got drunk with Mittani in iceland and believed the leader of goonswarm when he trolled them that the Eve Player based was ready for microtransactions on top of their subs.
As a result Incarna was delivered with nothing but the NeX store for content.
Eve rioted.
Thousand dollar Jeans kept his head down.
Whereabouts of CCP Monocle is unknown.
Incarna was however strung up with piano wire from the lamp-post near the harbour and executed for other people's crimes.
