I use some very good fitting from 256 shield/sec with a 65% capacitor (never dropped below).
High: 6 x Medium Shield Transporter II Medium: 1 x Large Peroxide Capacitor Power Cell 4 x Cap Recharge II Low: 1 x RCU II 1 x PDU II
Got only logistic slkill at level 4 but the eng skills are all at lvl 5. It works awesome.

Now that I can fly this, I am looking for a setup that includes which rigs to put on it. Primarily for gang support in running explore sites. Thx

As most would say semiconductor and capacitor control rigs are, theoretically, identically beneficial, I think semiconductors might be better here since the modules you'll be using use large amounts of cap, and the semiconductor rigs will make your cap less sensitive to large draws. Just a thought, would like to see someone crunch it though since I'm training into a basi as well.

For top % wise recharge you want CCC's, however, the effect of SMC needs some research since they stretch the area in which your cap recharge is maximum and hence should help more when using mods that use large amounts of cap every once in awhile.

Here is my setup:
2X s95a large shield transporters, 1x s95a med shield transporter, 3x med regard cap emissions.
3x RSD (named or t2) 1x t2 cap booster (electrochemical works too) 1x t2 medium cap battery
1x t2 RCU, 1x CPR (named or t2)
Now what this setup does is makes you more versatile. You can be defensive and offensive support. with the rigs I put on the egress (sp) rigs which is 15% less cap for the cap transfers (dont go the moeny to put on CCC's). With the cap booster you can run all 3 RSD, and one set of the following (1 large and 1 med ST) (1 large 1 cap transfer) (3 cap transfers) forever, well until you run out of cap batteries.

i normally fly with the following:
4 of the best t1 Large shield boosters 1 small armour rep (to fix t2 drones) 4 t2 cap rechargers 1 med t2 cap extender 2 local hull diagnostics
at tops i can hold 3 of them on without gang bonuses but with gang bonuses and a curse with a energy transfer i can run all 4 large non stop

The only important thing I keep in mind when fitting for Logistics is that the setup has to be cheap.
Faction equipment, expensive gear, I'd rather save my isk and put it towards a spare ship and setup. I know that no matter what, if the enemy is awake then your ship is going to be a priority target. Expect to have your hull shaved to a sliver every time you take this ship into combat, and every time you bring it home is a bonus.
This is the "other" role of a Logistics ship - bullet magnet. Every ship that shoots at you is not harming the expensive ships that are pouring firepower back. And if they don't shoot at you, well then, you can support your gangmates in the way your ship is designed for.
Think of a Logistics ship as a bit like a free-flying 1600mm plate for the rest of the gang, with a bonus ability to provide support.

Not my experience. The fact that Logistics ships are rarely seen in PvP means that awareness of them in low and theya re often overlooked as 'just another cruiser' Dont gate camp in a logistics or you WILL get called primary, but in a roving gang, they can be worth their weight in the precious mineral of your choice......

I agree with Daiv, If you live, bonus, the ship is cheap and ratting will get you all the parts that you need to make one work.
My fave
5 Large s95's, 1 Med s95 5 Euclid cap rechargers 2 PDS (Beta reactor control) 5 small armor rep drones (just for laughs)
I can run all 5 larges indefinite AT 71km (71km) However though I all support skills at 5 with logistics at 4 Should I ever get logistics to 5 then I will be able to run 6 larges.
but the point is don't buy the equiptment, follow a corpy and loot and salvage the stuff he leaves behind and you will outfit one of these in a day.

Just thought i'd add my setup, i fly in a basilisk pair supporting hacs or bc. Note: I do have lvl 5 logistics(well worth it)
Hi: 4x Large s951a shield transfers (same stats as t2 but better fittings) 2x large enegy transfers (1's enough to run everything the second will mean a hac can run 2 mar2 indefently)
Meds: AB2, INV2, EM hardener, LSE2, ECCM2 (helps prevent jamming)
Lows: CPR, RCU2
Rigs: em shield (4mil cheap as chips)
this setup provides you with nearly 6k of shields at 70%+ across the board and providing you have logistics 5 the 1 transfer array transfering between you and your friend will run everything indefently

I also have been playing with this ship as a pair with a friend to support our gangs. We actually keep each other alive pretty well.
With logistics 4 we can run indef with near 100% cap like this.
High: 3 large best named sheild transfers, 1 large energy transfere, 2 med energy transfers.
Mids: 2 large sheild extender 2's, 2x T2 EM passive membranes, 1x invul field.
Lows: 2x gravimetric backups.
Keep cap on each other and sheild rep whoever needs it. give about 2400 or so hp per 5 secs to whoever needs it. and switch sheild transferes to each other if you get primaried.
48 gravimetric sensor strength, almost 10k sheilds, and great resists all round, just sit on gate and do your job, and jup if necesary.

Edited by: Benny Hill on 17/12/2007 06:19:26 Capacitor Power Relay II Capacitor Power Relay II
Cap Recharger II Cap Recharger II Photon Scattering Field II Invulnerability Field II 10MN Afterburner I
Large Shield Transporter II Large Shield Transporter II Large Shield Transporter II Large Energy Transfer Array II Large Energy Transfer Array II Drone Link Augmentor I
Semiconductor Memory Cell I Capacitor Control Circuit I
Light Shield Maintenance Bot I x5
Not all the highs of course can be run at the same time, but loaded energy transfer in case they might be needed more. Drone Link Augmentor to let the drones reach out to the transfer range. Not much a of a difference between the rigs, but one of them is cheaper.
