If I request help, not for a fight but because survival is at stake, and all my allies want to help me with is T1 ships I would look for new allies.

For me personally it doesn't matter if they use thech1 or tech2, as long as they fight. Hope you don't cancel your op because of this thread thou.

True, but imho it sounds like an order to use t1. Ok, makes sense, if the corp pays for it. I get t1 fitted ships from my corp myself, but I still prefer to use a lot of t2 stuff and pay for that myself. If someone said to me: 'Come in a t1 frig !' My first answer would be: 'Lol, why ?' or something like that.  Maybe they wanna check the discipline of their members.

its no shame to use t1 and it can be very effective, also many cant afford or use t2
however if i call an ally for help and he gives out an official order for his members to only use t1 ships and t1 fittings (even if they could afford t2), then you gotta ask yourself how commited that ally is

Well wouldn't the game be more fun if everyone did actually use cheap disposable ships, would mean you wouldn;t find stabbed up HACs and stuff as more people would be willing to accept losses and just go for it.

Hun were quite effective in thier T1 cruiser gangs tbh. 5 or so raxes can do a lot of dmg. Ppl shouldnt get hung up on omgiflytehubershipthanj00.
I personally would rather fight everyday in T1, than have to wait to afford T2. Id also prefer my enemies to try in T1, than nothing tbh.
Not everyone has access to cheap hacs etc. If i payed market price for 25% of what i use,id be a lot more cautious with it.

Well i tend to believe that but who knows, personally i dont trust 5.
Anyway even if it is true, PROPS to SNU et al for fighting, even if it was in tech 1 ships. I would rather go and have some pvp fun in a huge mass of Tech 1 ships than lose a Tech 2 ship and spend the next week trying to recuperate the cost.
Hmmm fight everyday in tech 1 ships , losing some, wininning some and able to get right back in it later that day when you do lose or fly tech 2 ship lose spend a week doing no PVP fun.
Hmm think i know what my choice is.
Also using spies in lame if it true, faking something (whihc i wouldnt doubt) is even dumber...just my 2isk.

Tech1 Cruisers seem to be working wonders popping FE ships.
Nothing wrong with using cheap ships too kill expensive ones. Its all about who wins in the end, not the ships or tactics they used.

Yep, T1 is effective. But t2 is MORE effective...
You fly T1 when you want to go suicide or have nothign else.
IF you realy want to be effective you use T2 as much as possible.
10 rax can kill a BS.. but 10 deimos can kill 10 BS in the same time
Anyway.. T1 is for fun. T2 is for serious things. Oh and Rax is for Serious Fun

There are many many justifiable and sound reasons to use Tech I.
Tech I gets the job done just the same, Frankly If a fleet of folk with TEch I and a fleet of folk with Tech II engage the winner would likely still triumph if the tech gradient were switched.
No battle was ever decided by one dude with tech II 425's.
