I agree. Nosferatu has been broken ever since they changed it years ago. It should just have a straight drain amount, but obviously significantly less drain than that of a neut.
I also agree with your other statement, a solution would be that insurance prices for ships need to be updated, as inflation has skyrocketed. Maybe CCP want to keep the massive ISK sink in place. But it means ships are more costly = pilots can not afford them as easily = less fights. Surely CCP should be addressing this if they want to avoid this game becoming an ISK grind. I've made all my ISK a long time ago, but I feel sorry for the new pilots who try to get into PvP with small wallets. |

Black Ops BS need some serious love though, bonuses on them are a tad hodgepodge. I'm not talking about major offense here, but more than the one freaking drone the Helios has. Or the one free high slot they have after fitting their other required items.
They are not supposed to have ANY offense.
Recons are way more in need of visitr than rest oft2 .

Ideally they should be a ship that a poor/low-hour player can easily save up for.
It's not as easy as making T3 cruisers a little weaker and cheaper. They have the hardest loss of all ships in eve, skillpoint loss. That's enough to turn people off no matter how good they are. If you try to turn the modular ship class into cheap replaceables, no one will fly them because they have a 5 day training time for every loss. and they are tech THREE ships, why would they be in between t1 and t2 ships?

I see no real problem with T3 ships being strong, there are some individual subsystems that are very bad (I'm looking at you Legion Covops) and others that are very strong. Ultimately though as the only T3 ships in the game they ought to be very strong and let's keep in mind that a lot of their power resides in the links, logis and expensive fittings some or all of which often accompany a T3 ship(s). In a ship that costs not only (tons of) ISK but also SP to lose I see no issue with this arrangement.
As far as T3s being intended as jack-of-all-trades I don't really see it that way either. You certainly can fit a T3 to do everything in which case it will sacrifice some of its strengths in other areas in order to achieve that. Alternatively you can pick only one or two functions and pour all your efforts into improving those few functions as best you can which results in the impressive combat stats. The key is that they are highly mutable, not that the must be unfocused. As T3s are the only T3 ships in the game I feel that to some extent it is acceptable to balance them against the other racial T3s primarily and everything else afterward, set a kind of bar for each T3 as to where their power should be in each area (DPS, EHP, mobility, projection etc.etc.) and this should vary by race somewhat so they are not all the same. Next, work them so that they can meet these goals with a typical-ish fitting. I really do have no problem with a ship of that nature dealing battlecruiser or slightly better grade dps and tanking about as hard as battleship while mitigating incoming dps like a cruiser.
All that being said I do think there is something to be said for the amount of power grid some of these ships get. I can see an argument for making it so that you can't fit EVERYTHING including your largest grade guns for your race and a 1600mm plate and MWD all without any fitting mods as can be done with the power core multiplier sub to many of them. Forcing people to fit Ions or FMPL or downgrading the plate or forcing some fitting mods onto the ship might very well make all the difference.
Recons and Black Ops and pirate lines are much more pressing though IMO. |

As most important, I want to see undo the Warp Speed nerf of Rubicon 1.0 for BC and BS. I found my BS too slow at 3 AU, now with 2 AU CCP threat me to ALT-TAB into Forums during flight. Or fall asleep. In Games I like to see things happen. And don't like to see things happen after taken a nap.
Each technology become better, faster, more reliable, less power consuming over time (think about cars, smartpones, aso). Only in EvE here happens technical Regress instead of Progress... I really don't find it funny to fall asleep during warp. |
