Minodus	Posted - 2006.02.10 23:23:00 - [1] I got ganked during an alliance war in a 1.0 system and Im now 6 days behind on astro V .... 6 DAYS :( Is it me or is this a little harsh for forgetting to clone? A nice little reminder saying "We are going to penalise you excessively as you have left the station without setting up a new clone" would have been nice.

You missunderstand. I died on a... say Thursday... with a clone that's about 500k SP short of what I had. Lost 8 days training on Gal BShip V due to crap perception (by the way, when are CCP going to release skills for memory? Specicially skills useful for us poor combat Intakis) On the Friday or Saturday following that they hotfix clones. The clone type I had at the beginning of the week now covers about 10 million more SP than it did when I died. Now I have a clone that covers about 25 million SP above what I have. Chuck Norris is in violation of several articles in the CONCORD charter. Luckily no one has told him this.

One gate camp later, lesson learnt Like many have said, it really sucks when it happens, but it's your own fault(as it was mine), and another lesson learnt ~ I very much doubt it will happen to you (or me) again. Truthfully, I'm glad it happened some time ago, if it happened to me now the pain would be bad "Work is the curse of the drinking classes"

It is going off topic, but what I mean is that there's a limit to when Drone skills which is reached quite a lot faster than Gunnery, Spaceship Command, and Missiles. Also, drones are Mem/Perc. What I'd really want is a few of the Electronic or Engineering skills to be Mem/Int. But this is coming from someone who's been training Perc/Will skills, on a char with 5 base perc, for nearly two years straight. This just to keep my combat skills honed. I know someone who lost 21 days for not having an upto date clone, and it was on Large Hybrid Turret lvl 5 which really messed him up. Mentioning no names Darknesss <cough>

So, with the 13th taken up with buying your girl pressies, the 14th getting your reward for being a good boy and the 15th spent recovering, then its like 3 days. Save the Ubar asteroids

So say you had 3 million SP, and a 6 million SP clone. You get killed and podded. Your sp are safe, but you now have 3 Million SP, and no clone, until you buy another. And I agree, it happens to everyone. Once. Afterwards, when you get podded, the first thing you click on is the clone facilities

The only thing I regretted in this nature was insurance on my Phrophecy. Thats good until you screw up and set your clone for a station w/o a clone bay (weee corp op escorting the person to a medical facility)

I had just barely gone over the SP that my current clone covered. Was the first time I had ever been podded, and up to that point I had been very careful. That's Murphy's law for ya.
