Heres a warning to those doing this solo that use drones... sentry drones in particualar
I warp to the first stage, no rats aggro. I target a bunch of cruisers and open fire on the first jamming one and release the drones which join in as they should. The first rat pops, and i begin shooting the next jammer rat in the aggroed bunch and i notice my sentry drones are shooting all over the place. Each of my 3 sentry drones decided that the non aggroed bunches around me were more of a threat than the closing aggroed bunch... so each one aggros a different group of rats..... sentrys die everthing instantly on me
Nice one drones, real help there NOT!
So theres the warning and why.... might save someone a ship

2 clips from 6 Cruise Launcher II (2 x 6 x 27 = 324) of kinetic damage cruise missiles from his orbit range of 50km was enough for me to kill him. That is quite alot seeing as most npc bs only take 36 to 60 cruise missiles to kill.

I used a Phoon with 4 kinetic Torps and 4x800mm autocannons kitted with Plasma ammo. I webbed him with drones and then closed in for the kill at 5km. Nos's don't work. --- Cosmos Primer (ingame) | R&D-Market idea |

Paon Tay is immune to all but damage and Nos.
Or did they forget to make drone effect NPC targets the same way as a ship module would - or would not?
When you approach your target, the flight time for later fired missiles is shorter so your DoT goes up as long as you can close in with your target. While the RoF stays constant, the Rate of Impact changes. Damage goes up when you approach the target, and down when the distance grows. --*=*=*-- Megadon CCP wanted a well known artist and celebrity to test the new font so it's approval would be well known. Turn down 2300 lp from a level 4 agent? You must be joking.
If CCP wanted level 4's to be "group missions", then they should look at an lp sharing system. I don't mind helping someone with a hard mission, if I'm going to get something out of it. But the fact that they nerfed the loot and the bounties, but have no such lp sharing system in place works contrary to the environment they are trying to foster. Unless of course, they are trying to force all mission runners to live in 0.0, in which case what they are doing makes perfect sense.
IMO, not giving players any incentive option to work together, but forcing them to work together is just wrong.
So far the only mission I've had any issues on is Vengence, and it is easy enough to find one person with a Raven or Tempest to help me pop the boss rat at the end. All other missions, I've been able to solo - and will continue doing so.

2. I agree on loot, it is rather disappointing that most BS drop nothing and the rare few that drop something drop crap. I do not even bother looting on level 4 missions anymore. In the time it takes to loot I can do another mission which is worth more.
Dissapointing? I think you're being WAY too kind to CCP here.

Mr. Moon is a rough character. I can tank him but can't put out enough damage to break his tank. His stats (from memory, might not be exact) are:
Flies at 1000m/s Signature radius of 350 Fires an EM torp for ~1150 dmg every 12.5 seconds Has 75% chance to boost 800 shield every 12.5 seconds
I think I used thermal on him to break his shield then Explosive for armor, but not completely sure. There is an in-game NPC database that can give you all the stats. Evemail me in-game and I'll give you the link to the database that works in game.
(apologies if someone already gave this information. i'm at work and didn't have time to read the whole thread.)
----- my playstyle is anti-pirate. what does this mean? it means you'll never catch me in a valuable ship and/or setup where it can be compromised. go on, trade your ammo for the scraps you'll get. |
