hello,
found some bug.
1. Started the launcher as usual. 2. Launcher updates 3. Launcher got broken due to some failure. Report: check your launcher log etc It was written there that some data can not be retrieved.
Workaround
1. Go to your EVE directory on your computer. 2. Click through to "launcher" --> "cache" 3. run "updater.exe" 4. This will take some time as an old version of a launcher will be installed. 5. Run your launcher via your usual shortcut (on your desktop). 6. Launcher will now update to current version. 7. After update, the launcher will close. 8. Reopen the launcher and the patch for Rubicon will be downloaded and installed.

I increased number of download threads and the option to close the launcher after launching. These values (or anthing else) is stored.
It is saved, if you can enter EVE Online just relog and your settings will be there again. |

hello,
as more and more pilots have a launcher issue.
REPAIRTOOL CANNOT FIX YOUR LAUNCHER

CCP, please accept my apologizes but it seems like your fix or workaround does not help.

good morning,
I am aware my workaround does not help in 100 % of cases but it is a common solution. Furthermore I am aware the launcher update I linked is really old but it is a working one, so sorry if you need to download the launcherupdate for a long time.
I came up with this workaround as I had the exact same problems with the launcher as you had and I realized I had this issue already a couple of patches ago. This might not be the perfect workaround but it is working in most cases.
For those getting stuck on patching or the launcher. I can guess reboot your machine, clear your cache if able and start all over again will help.
In worst case you really need to delete / uninstall your client and perform a clean installation of EVE.
Final words
I am happy that I could help you guys but please be aware I am not CCP and just posted a workaround that worked for me. I am sorry if I this workaround did not help you. |
