So it DOES have to do with rubicon. and YES i have tried getting back into them and it tells me i do not have the required skills to do so. Its a legitimate issue. If youve actually tried getting into the ship and it doesnt let you thats odd. Only thing i can think of it that they seem to have removed secondary and tertiary skills from the overview so if thats been removed altogether then yeh you cant fly it and it is a legitimate problem.

Clear your cache first, then report back.

I don't have the leadershipskills either but i can still fly commandships. As long as you got the commandship skill to at least one and the BC skill to V you should be able to fly them.

ooh wait let me first explain why I'm laughing...


1. The change was NOT with Rubicon but with previous expansion - your first error.
2. You need the leadership skills to INJECT the command ship book, as you already have it, it doesn't matter - your second error
3. If you tried to undock it, you would have found out you can still fly it. CCP's policy = fly it before a patch = fly it after the patch - your third error.

Sorry, but a Retribution Whine thread on Rubicon release date...that just made me laugh.

Yet none of that explains why I CANNOT get into the ship thats i used to be able to fly, like i stated previously.

No, they don't.

You need exactly two skills to fly a command ship: [Racial] Battlecruiser V, and Command Ships 1.

If you could fly the ships before, it was because you had those two skills. This means you still have those two skills. This means you can still fly command ships. As others have put it: have you actually tried flying them?

If you haven't, I suggest you look at this animation to learn to read and interpret your prerequisite list. You are incorrectly assuming that you need all the skills listed. you don't. You only need the the two or three skills that are in the GÇ£outmostGÇ¥ layer. The other skills are prerequisites for training those skills and are in every way utterly and completely irrelevant to the ship you want to fly.

OKAY, so i log onto EVE after Rubicon is released and i can NO LONGER fly the Sleipnir, which i've had the skills to fly for WELL OVER two years, because they made the pre-requisites for it higher. ALL the LEADERSHIP skills need to be 5 now?? CCP has taken my ability to fly ANY command ship away when i could fly all command ships for Gallente, Minmatar, AND Amarr.
