I am using an Inquisitor right now for level 2 agent missions. It has plenty of firepower and with a good overdrive and decent afterburners it hits about 680 m/s with 300 cargo space. It's really poor for mining missions, though.
The Probe seems to be the ideal mission frigate - cargo, speed, mining all in one.

I use a Carcal, whith 2x mwd and 2x med cap battery. A couple of expanders to swap with the mod. overdrives, when I need the full 600+ cargo.
Oh and and 250mm for the kill missions, and a few mining drones for the 'get me 104 units of kernite type missions'.
(btw anyonw know if the massive speed of dual mwds is a bug, 26km/s seems a little quick )

I'm using a maller with a 50/50 split of the low slots with cargo expanders and boosters, ab's in the mid and a mixture of med beams and mining lasers - carry an extra 3 cargo boosters for some of the stupid big courier missions.
As for rewards, my lv3 averages at about 80k, best I've had is 102k with a 102k time bonus - and it was an insta mission too!

I'm Caldari and started doing missions in a Kestral, but now use a Vigil as it's the quickest frigate. 3 ab's, 3 od's and a launcher full of bloodclaws for speed missions, swap the overdrives for expanders for bigger cargo missions, or take a burner offline and bring on the rails for combat missions. At the moment I'm using 75mm proto's (yeah I know, but they were all I had around at the time 'cos the kestral didn't have turrets) with antimatter, but I got hold of a couple of nice 125's last night so I'll be upgrading.
Since I got my level 2 agent i've had a few missions where I've had to do 2 runs to shift all the cargo, so I'm contemplating upgrading to a blackbird fairly soon (a friend makes them so it makes sense to get a cheap blackbird rather than a full price osprey), and then using the cruiser for larger cargo missions but stick with the vigil for the rest at least until I've trained up to mwd's, and even then the vigil may still prove faster over lung distances due to better manouvrability and less cap drain.
My level 2 missions are often paying nearly 100k including the time bonus, but it took me someting like 70 missions to get the agent. the fact that I already had a negative sec status when I started doing the missions probably didn't help.

I'm still doing Lev 1 missions (Lev 2 agent sucked so I'm waiting for a better one to come along). I actually find that for shifting small items, a shuttle does the trick pretty well.
Only has 10 cargo but that allows it to carry passengers without a problem. It's also bleeding fast

I use a thorax and have it equiped for half combat half speed. I also got some miners at the station if i need to go out mining. Most of the time i'm lazy and just buy them from the station i'm at. I loose money most of the time by my L2 agent's face gets uglier every day. I dream for the day i can cast her to the horrible bowels of hell where she belongs as i become elevated to the great world of L3.

Personally I shuttle over to my agent, where I leave my Osprey with MWD (Fast and carries over 700 cargo). I do however check what is being ferried, and if it is small enough (e.g. 10 data sheets last night), I just throw them in the shuttle and scoot over in a flash.

I have been using my Scorpion, atm...I have just read up and now feel stupid that i havnt fitted another mwd to it.
It is rigged for combat with a miner 2 for the ore collecting missions (not htat there are actually any rocks to mine in empire space any more). I have 3 Large Guns coz i cant be bothered changing my copmbat setup which deals with all the can u please go and kill missions in about 1 sec.
All my other slots i'm not going to tell u lot about just incase. Anyway it does the trick and i complete missions v quicky especially as my cargo hold now has vaious items and ore that allow me to insta complete some missions.

After 2 agent missions i joined a corp. Now i have an osprey and a badger I, so that's what i use for agent missions if i'm interested in doing one. The set up isn't that importand, the hauler has 1 small electron cannon, the cruiser has 3 mining lasers and 1 missile launcher. That's it
To make sure we won't be left with wasted space in our industrials hey should make their cargospaces devideable by the biggest item there is.....
