I've been alternating between Vigil (fast), Probe (cargo/mining), and Rifter (combat) as needed. (How can you tell I'm Minmatar?)
Is anyone using Cruisers or Industrials? How do you have them set up?
Just curious. Coronach

Well, since i use my alt char for agent missions, i havent given it any skill training time. Just got a merlin, but realized some missions need more cargo, so i have a bantam too. used to have a condor, but trashed it. heard of someone using a battleship, but thats definitely overkill, heh

I've been using a vigil for all missions.. I guess if i ever need a bigger cargo that expanders can't provide i'll have to upgrade my ship, but vigil is great for now. _________________________________________________________

Vigil works nicely for all but the "large cargo transfer" missions, which is why you keep a Probe handy.
Pretty much any cruiser with a MWD is another good choice, but a bigger cargo bay is better. 500-600m3 is what you need for the largo cargo xfer missions.

I use an Incursus for everything thus far.
One mining laser and one beam weapon for mining and fighting missions.
Two LHC overdrives and 3 lif AB's for speed. 1650 m/s is what I get.

I use an Omen, fairly fast and flexible and nice and disposable if I get hit whilst AFK :-)

... Kestrel for most tasks (with two spare cargo mods in the trunk for those times when i need to haul more than 300m3 of cargo at the time) with Condor kept nearby for NPC shooting.

I used a Tristan (3 ABs, 3 OD injectors) before, since it could do over 1 km/s. But its cargohold sucked and was unsuitable for L3 missions.
Exequerors also work well. Much more cargo even with 3 ODIs, and it can do well over 1 km/s with 4 ABs.
I'm looking into figuring out how to use my 'stower, since stowers can warp forever. ---------------- Blue Screen of Death CEO Exodus Enterprises |

Cheap Executioner (Amarr Level 1), nice cruising speed and the capacitor for those annoying long warp jumps ;)
If you know how, it can even handle the combat missions!

Sort of overkill, but im using a dominix or a thorax for missions. the lvl 3 sometimes asks you to cart 260+ m3 of stuff around so the larger cargo hold helps, and being able to travel around 3km/s with MWDs and ABs really helps on those longer trips.

My thorax with MWD, 2 miners, 3 heavy ions and 4 cargo expanders has been working well for my lvl 2 agent.

I use a badger ii.
With 2xoverdrive and 4xAB. I go about 1250 m/s.
If I have to kill something I mount a 125mm rail and 2xreactor control which still gives me 850 m/s.

Please evemail me ingame with your Badger II setup? It doesn't elt me mount more than 3 cold-gas ab's and with those I still dont get that fast. Is it the overdrives or something? Anyway, if you don't mind, send me a evemail with the items you have installed.

I use a Vigil since I only have a L2 agent and don't get any huge cargo missions. Incredibly fast and agile (1500+ m/sec), and enough firepower to do a kill mission (2 autocannons, 1 launcher with a cruise missile for emergencies )
An Omen (or other general-purpose cruiser) with a MWD and nanofibers works pretty well too, but nothing in space beats a Vigil with 3 ABs and 3 nanofibers for pure fun.

I use a Stabber for Lev 3 missions, managed to do all my Lev 2 missions with a probe and a couple of cargo extenders.

Megathron.
yes, its overkill, but I like hauling around my mining ear and combat gear and the materials for new agents. so I keep pretty expensive stuff on me that needs protection :)

What skills do you have?
What level is your Engineering skill?
What about Acceleration Control? ANYONE who is stacking afterburners *needs* AC. Named ABs are worthless compared to the bonuses obtained from this skill. ---------------- Blue Screen of Death CEO Exodus Enterprises |

70-120k (lev 3), some are instantaneous
These benefits are really nothing special, the better equipment and money will be given by higher lev agents.

It depends on the agent. Level one is about 15k, level 2 is 45k and level 3 95k. These can vary by + or - 50% depending on the exact mission or time bonuses. ======================================== Leodis Enteprises Corporation

Well I used to use my Apocalypse, but the Emperor reminded me that it was not intended for moving 15 units of garbage 3 systems away, so I went back to using my Omen again.

Nothing isnt better then warp with Dominix (or other BS) to training grounds and start killing training drones.
A lot of newbie pilots have opinion that someone in this training grounds must be crazy

Sorry no game at work, and I'm always in game at home.
But here ya' go:
Engineering 4 / Nav 4 / Accel Ctrl 4 /
Here are the builds:
1115 m/s 4085 holds: 2 x Local hull conversion, 4 x LiF AB, 1 x Small Emergency shield, 1 x CU vapor Bore.
1278 m/s 3500 cargo: 2 x reactor ctrl, 5 x LiF AB, 1 x small emergency shield.
850 m/s 3500 cargo: 2 x Reactor ctrl, 4 x LiF AB, 1 x small emergency shield, 1 x 125mm proto rail gun (18-32 dmg per shot using antimatter).
Reactor ctrl = low slot, 10% bonus to grid
Local Hull Conv = 21 speed, 8% cargo, -x% hull HP, +35% agility.
Also the badger is nice to do missions because after doing a few you tend to get a lot of junk at agent station. It makes it easy to pick it all up and relocate to another agent or back home.

The Punisher is my choice for lvl 1-2 missions. The reasons: 1) Frigate agility means faster travel (acceleration, warp alignment) 2) 50 powercore with engineering lvl4, Can mount mwd without using power boosters --> fill low slots with agility boosters that make the mwd boost count more. (better than overdrives when you use mwd) 4) 4 yummy low slots 5) Biggest cap of the frigates + better cap recharge per lvl. Important for mwd travel.
On the negative the cargo is rather small, but very few lvl1-2 missions will be a prob if you got 4 good expanders.
Happy travels |

Edited by: drunkenmaster on 05/09/2003 08:48:25 I used to use a tristan rigged for 'ludicrous speed' when I was doing lvl1 and 2 missions, but now I've moved onto regular lvl3 work, I use an Osprey, oddly enough, rigged for ludicrous speed. It such fun belting towards the gates at yulai at 4km/s knocking indies several kilometers off course.
I have other ships, but the osprey is usually the runner. I guess a Vexor would be just as good too, in regard to cargo size, and AB/MWD fitments.
I've never had to drag the indy out yet though.
regarding payments, I can't really remember how much the 1's and 2's used to give me, and I think it has changed since I last did any. But my lvl3 (+16, +10, standing looks to be about 8-9, corp standing 6, faction standing 10) pays 50k minimum, 201k max, with a 14 minute wait between missions. It did take me a long time to get a lvl 3 of that quality though. .

Bah. You need to line up your warps properly.

That's not warping, that's just punching all the midslots on the cruise to the gate Bah. You need to line up your warps properly.
