I downloaded the patch from here but now Eve says it can't find the server on 87.237.38.200
Has the server gone down or is there some other problem?

The server is down for emergency reboot. They sent out an in-game note, and a minute later the server connection was lost. |

3rd reply is a charm!!!! Same issue for me.
I would ask that people just chill out and be patient. CCP will get this squared away just like anything else. No need to yell and whine or just generally get foul about it. I would rather the server be down to address some issues then be left up, lagged out, and just absolutely miserable. BTW- I do have a skill that is done so no moanin about needing to switch skills... Just give CCP some time and it will be back soon enough!!!

CCP gave a 60 second notice in-game. Thanks! Auto-patch is not needed, MOTD gace the address for the manual patch, its on the eve home web page, and works just fine.

What bothers me the most is that it's been like every 2 weeks and the servers are down and another small patch is released.
Know what?
I don't care about all these small patches. Determine what you want to fix/enhance, document it, wait and release a big patch perhaps every couple months. I've spent about 15% of time on EVE waiting for them to get the servers back online. It's getting old quick.

Server is down for hotfixing.
Please use http://www.eve-online.com/patches/ for patching.
If you have the latest version prior to this patch, the one you require is:

I politely asked for a few extra days to compensate for the loss of gameplay (near week of chaos) that RMR caused, the official reply was that they didnt charge us for the patch LOL!

I have the same problem about that "Unable to connect to 87.237.38.200 on port 26000" message. CCP should always put a clear message on their site front page or some kind of server status like in most online games. Wouldn't be easier for everyone to know it is not our machine?
