I'm just kind of curious. Do these things happen often? I started a trial yesterday during patching, and that night post-patch was pretty sweet. Today though, the game is totally unplayable because of lag. Is this a Friday norm? Or something that is a side-effect of the patch?
I guess either way it reflects badly on interested trial parties. If this is a one-shot deal, then there's A LOT of whining going on. If this is a normal thing, it needs to be fixed. No? ;)

Lots of lag around the Hulf constellation in Metropolis.
The approach gate, jump, and warp on the other-side routine, through the autopilot, takes a good full 5 minutes.
Weird tho, since performance was nice after the DT until about an hour or two ago.
Good luck to CCP in resolving the issues !

CCP always patches on thursday... Don't know why not patching on tuesday so you can fix the problems during rest of the week or something like this.. after RMR it was nearly the same :(

Both my chars have both been booted now, after 7 or 8 travel warning's.

Sorry, but it's Friday night (in Europe anyway) and most of us nerds with no life have been looking forward to an interesting evening of gameplay after a hard week of work/studies, and it's natural that we're a bit dissappointed when we can't have that. Especially as the server was down most of yesterday evening for patching.
lol well said Barbicane, i bet there is tons of peeps like us, i myself have been working my nuts off all week and like to have a real long session on Eve on friday nites to chill etc..
btw.. im stuck logging in also.

The server recently had a big hardware upgrade about a week ago, and a big patch yesterday. Chances are a few bugs need to be hammered out. But no, this is the first time the server has been messed up like this since I've started playing... other than patch day.

Not really most of the errors are because of tha patch(supposedly)
I was in the metro region too. I juts logged off.

Its starting to become the norm after patch day sadly, but the other 92% of the time its playable :)

Same here, i was also looking for a nice night in and pirate hunting with my corp mates. But sometimes **** happends...
Ok, Sorry about my attitude. I thought you were just another besserwisser having a go at those less fortunate. I didn't mean any harm. 
I doubt logging off would help though. If we keep this thread alive and growing, someone in charge might notice and do something.

Get rid of the frakking traffic advisory. Post-patch the game is running like a 74' pinto with sand in the crankcase. My corp is in a 0.3, rather lowly populated area and there is 20s and more lag from activating gates and weapons to actual use.
Dump it and quickly figure out what is lagging everything so badly.

Good Lord.....why hasn't the server been rebooted? Is everybody off punching Bobo?
FFS, can't change container names....it takes 5 min. just to dock, after getting docking permission.....it takes God knows how long to drag and drop cargo now....it takes 5 min. for the ships to respond to commands....the chat window lags...everything lags.
Reboot....the....server.
Everything ran perfect before this patch.

I don't think it's a problem with the new nodes, as it's too global. It could be a software thing with the patch, although it kinda has the feel of a networking hardware failure, like a dodgy router or something.

I don't think they want to do a roll back becouse of all the new charicters created... Would give them hell to make sure no one lost them they should realy look at the test server more.
