The Raven is one of the oldest and most iconic ships in EvE. For 8 years its been there proudly on game boxes and posters, and it has done it with damn grace.
Somethings don't need a radical makeover. This is certainly one of them. |

Although I'm kind of hoping the Raven gets a full overhaul like the Scorpion did in the next (summer 2012) expansion, the fact that they went through the effort of updating the current model implies that won't happen.
The thing that bothers me the most with the Raven is how there's the core of a good ship in it, just waiting to be made:

If they even made the port wing as large as the starboard wing, it would be an easy and awesome fix.
EDIT: Out of curiosity, does anyone have pictures of the old Scorpion model? I was trying to find some pics but couldn't find the old one. |

That wasn't the correct nomenclature by Sirinda, true. What he is thinking of is actually two things, center of mass and MOI (Moment of Inertia).
An asymmetrically designed ship would have a tendency to rotate about its yaw axis. In layman's terms, the darn thing would only fly around in a circle, never straight.
