I gank alone just fine. Maybe the problem is they can't kill someone every 5 minutes, so they can't compete on the stupid killboards.

Edited by: Tolonen on 28/04/2006 23:17:19 I think the biggest counter argument to this ridiculous thread is the number of people using stabs that end up on the wrong end of a killmail. It seems a lot of people are off playing the game and killing stabbed up ships instead of whining about it here.
Hope that was productive enough.
edit: grammar and clarity.

Edited by: Tolonen on 29/04/2006 16:04:19 This here is exactly the problem with a lot of the wcs complaints. You'll notice the op states there were two of them out hunting, and yet between them they haven't fitted enough scramble to hold down a caracal, a ship with 2! low slots. You'll also notice that despite their ineptitude they'd already killed two other ships in the same system.
And what do they do? Go fit more than 2 points of scramble between them maybe? No. They make a post on the forums about it. And what do the community do? Proceed to post how broken wcs is and how cowardly it is to fit them...
If so many of the nerf wcs posts weren't from people like the above we might be able to have a proper discussion. As it is I find it hard to debate openly when every other post is from some ex cs kiddie who wants to kill everything he target locks.

Whilst I'm still pondering whether stabs being lows and scramblers being mids may not be a game balance issue (should you really be able to both escape and scramble?).
I really think the core argument is one of what kind of game you want eve to be. How fast and furious should the action be. I for one prefer the pro-defender combat system that wcs has created. People have to work for their kills and I think thats great.
I'm not sure I want a system where kills are easier nor do I think I'd like the sort of people that would attract to this game, although I fear some are already here

Edited by: Tolonen on 30/04/2006 15:43:51 Your argument is completely flawed. Any alliance/group wishing to make 0.0 "dangerous" can easily fit to scramble stabbed up ships.
You're obviously too lazy or stupid, or both, to do so.

Hey look an alt! But I guess I would use an alt to post somthing that dumb myself, so I can't really blame him.
Before you call people stupid I would suggest looking at your self. Did we forget, that some ships don't have the mid slots to scramble well, most any other ship? I'd like you to explain how I can easily scramble any ship, as I only fly gallente, and are thus limited to 5 mids at the most.
Unless of course your going to try and tell me, either use 7.5km scramblers, which as we all know are next to impossible to use on a BS. Or get more friends, which in and of its self is more then enough evidence to say WCS are unblanced when one side needs to gather more number to counter the fitting of one ship.
But hey, your argument is working well for you. Not only have you ignored the whole rest of the thread. You got to flame someone, which as we all know is a great subsitute for laying out a well thought out reasonable argument
So mister alt, knowledgeable in all aspects of the game, yet so cowardly he has to hide the idenity of a virtual charactor. How exactly do I easily scramble someone with a full rack of stabs? Come on now, you said it was easy, but didn't say how other then to call me stupid, so show us please.
I find it ironic that you call me to account for not "reading" the thread and yet fail to "read" my post. I specifically mention alliance/group. In my personal opinion, you in your one ship should not be able to lock down someone who has decided to fit a full rack of stabs. You need to use tactics and teamwork to do this with the game in its current state. I think this is fine.
I solo pvp all the time and find enough people that I can lockdown to make my isk and get some excitement. You obviously seem to want to lock everyone down whilst solo pvping something I find ridiculous for you to ask for.

Edited by: Tolonen on 01/05/2006 01:23:25 My problem with your whole argument is you're not asking to be able to best someone in a fight. You're asking to be able to pin down and then kill another person whilst solo. Thats a very important distinction. I don't know of many other mmorpgs where you can literally pin another player down so you can kill them or wait for your friends to arrive and gank them.
What you're asking for is not balanced. And your continual bashing on my character age is retarded, please read what I'm saying and make comments based on my arguments.
Game designs often favour the defender. It is quite normal for it to be easier to escape fights than it is to keep an opponent there and kill them. Imo game balance does not require you to be able to pin down and kill other players solo.
