The German corp, the ADF can normally be found gatecamping in Egghelende. Some will chat quite amicably with you - as long as you are out of range!

Yep, I got smoked in there this weekend as well. My first cruiser too. Oh well my own stupidity for not checking the map ahead of time. I do have a question though, after you have jumped into the system with a camp going on, but before you have come out of gate cloak, is there anything you can do to save yourself, or at that point are you pretty much done for?

You might be able to plead your case that your ship is pure crap module wise and you'll give them a couple mil isk or whatever that would far exceed the value of said crap mods. Ofc, if they are there to see perty explosions then you're pretty much screwed.

If you announce in local that you wish to pay a ransom, then assuming you do it soon enough, we'll convo you before trying to kill you. However, most people who do this seem to wait until AFTER we've already warp scrambled them before they say anything...and at that point its usually to late. If you don't think you'll make it out, then try to contact us while cloaked, otherwise you'll probably get smoked in 1-2 volley's.
There is so much traffic on that gate that we don't bother asking for ransoms unless they are volunteered (or you're in a freighter). We ransom pods of older players if its convenient. But for the most part its better to just shoot. If we tried to ransom all of the ships we'd end up missing half the ships that go through.

I went through the gate camp - fortunately was coming from the other gate and had a bookie.
So I waited on the gate and some of the silly Sniggs opened fire
I waited till my armor started giving out and then jumped... Enjoy the sec hit guys

There is a backdoor into amamake from Rens. I won't tell you where, but its really obvious, use the map and bookmarks, and you will be able to live in those systems without ever falling prey to gatecamps.

Nope, but 245kills in a 24 hour period.
killing unarmed or rattign ships with 12 other ships isnt especially hard. Try not to make out like you guys are tactical geniuses. A corp that takes you out with a force equal to yours is displaying skill, you arent. But then I seriously doubt you would engage such a force. Go fight in 0.0 where people are prepared and will fight back at you and then you might have a case to brag abotu 254 kills in 24 hours.
Piracy is a way of playing Eve for sure. What I dont get is why pirate think that blowing up a hauler with a battleship makes them l33t pvpers. -- Rells

Imo, 245 kills in 24 hours is quite a lot of carnage from a single corp, no matter the method.

Thanks for the info Shamis. Unfortunately I had the autopilot on and was looking at some market information so came out of cloak right away. Like I said, my own stupidity. By the time I had any idea what was going on I was waking up a clone and 60+ jumps away. Thanks for doing your part to make this game an adventure, but don't take it personally if in 6 months or so I come back and try and blow the crap out of you.

0.0 Is far too scary. A corp like ours can't possibly hope to survive out there with all the real PvP'ers.
Originally by: Rells What I dont get is why pirate think that blowing up a hauler with a battleship makes them l33t pvpers.
It doesn't make us l33t pvp'ers. It makes us rich pirates. As stated above all the real PvP'ers live in 0.0, and we never go there, so we're clearly not any good at PvP.

I was actually happy to be blown up by s*****rdly the second day in the game.. when I go wtf was that? Why the hell am I back in my station and what is a smart bomb? Makes me do research.. ask questions ans learn.. Good learning experience.. now if it had happened now in a more expensive ship with lots of goodies.. yeah I may be ****ed! So moral of story? Gate jump in low sec as soon as you can to get a taste of what it is like to have your ship scrapped and podded... will make you realize what is going on!

Are you simply new to EVE or have you honestly never heard of the corporation S******dly before?
Take this peice of advice for yourself and your 'university': Don't pool all the pirates into the same group. Their tactics vary, their capability varies, and their public exploits will never be all of the warfronts they may be engaging on.
Assuming Snigg couldn't plow through a 0.0 conestellation or two is simple a sign of how scrambled the information is you will be teaching people, for 3 million ISK. --------------
