Nice post, Konietzko.
Being a successful pirate isnt easy. My alt is a pirate, and quite an unsuccessful one... I don't play with him all that much, but I know he is unsuccessful because I keep having to transfer him ISK 
It was meant to be the other way around!

I wish it were like that, unfortunately for me I have to make my own ISK 
But my alt and me are very different characters, I like to try out different playing angles. I'm sure lots of people RP with different characters, its only a game after all :)

ohhhhh no.. your cant spin this one around. Butter Dog and your alt are still YOU... Your making money in KDF as an ISS member docking in that station rating in those belts. Its like saying "ISS doesnt support pirates but our members do". Classic...

It's just a game, Raid.
Thats the truth of it. You're entitled to your viewpoint of course, we'll just have to agree to disagree :)
And also, we're not anti-pirate per se. We're on great terms with many pirates who use our outposts. We just don't allow pirating against our members, or in the outpost systems, thats all. My alt fits into the former category, so there is no antagonism.

Complete Rubbish Raid, as per normal.
Half of Eve has Multiple Accounts and the other half has Alts.
Is the ISS neutral, very much so ...but not stupid. We tried giving total unrestricted access to all including "day old" players and "Starter Corporations"
How was this repaid....... by a stream of Alts, undocking, destroying themselves and leaving cans at the undocking point so that ships are ganked when undocking...
Has the situation in KDF improved, very much so, has it made a profit, yes.

I would say that Butter Dog having a pirate alt would only be a problem if he was pirating ISS traffic lanes. If he does his pirating in another part or space (plenty of that around), then there should be no issue.
To the OP I would say that ISS does nothing to hide the fact that pirates abound. I've been reading their recruitement thread, and they regularly admit that they lose more battles to pirates than they win. In fact I'm probably going to finaly quit my safe empire mission life and join the ISS Navy.

The point im trying to make is people in glass houses should not throw stones. You call us pirates (which we are not this is 0.0) yet you do it yourself and fund it with your own character. Its fine if thats a stand alone pirate character that makes his own money, but the very fact that you give him money and then spout all kinds of crap at us calling us pirates is just hypocritical.
Justify it all you want but claiming your neutral then using ISS member money and funding other wars (even if its your alt) is not neutrality.

Seems like common sense to me, I know thats hard for you to understand.
As long as you don't shoot at the ISS and park outside the Outpost staion / gates
with your Alts "ready to explode" then you activities have nothing to do with the
ISS.

There really is nothing to justify, Raid.
I make my own ISK and I would have that if I was in ISS or not, as I would have docking rights because this character would be neutral or positive to ISS even if I wasnt a member myself. The ISS don't pay me, it doesnt work like that.
My alt pirates in lowsec Tash-Murkon well away from anything ISS related. And even then, very rarely, as I'm mostly logged on with this character.
He would also have ISS docking rights because he isnt hostile to the ISS, and hasnt pirated in the outpost systems :)
I don't have access to any 'ISS money' as you put it, only my own which is nothing to do with the ISS.

Not quite correct - he isnt hostile to the ISS and doesnt pirate in the outpost systems.
And its my personal ISK, I can do anything I like with it. I could even give it all to you and its nothing to do with the ISS, so how I spend my personal money in-game isnt relevant. Though, I'm going to spend it on something... which rhymes with... pears

Is funny that as soon as the "Bad Guys" start getting spanked then they run to the
forums ........
Last time I was in KDF all I noticed was the peace and quiet and you boys running
the other way and hiding in Litom / Doril .... that was until LV turn up.
The days have gone when you turn up with 15 and the ISS Navy only had 5 ... your
a spent force CDC living on the odd gank, and can dropping tactics.
The station is Invincible, they only was to effect it, is to be there 24 hours a day, which
you little outfit can't obtain or take over the POS's but there again its easy for the ISS
to park 9 Carriers / Dreads inside the force field and play "Duck Shooting"

They claim to be neutral when they aren't. They lie. There's no joke. For them to "allow" implies they have the right to do so, which they don't if they're neutral.
And then again their own members are backdoor pirates themselves it seems.
