Hmmm... there is talk of overhauling EvE's graphics.
3d engine allowing you to leave your ship and meet your favorite exotic dancer/homeless person...maybe...maybe not
the possibilites...

man, im gonna add to this, not just to keep this one going, but also because it makes me puke to think people actually believe eve would do such a thing as overhaul the unverse and add housing and frilly bling and decor to the list of things to do.
there is no way this is gonna happen people, stop pushing the subject. this is not the sims, nor is it a game for interior decorators. this is eve, a game where blowing up stuff takes on a whole new meaning, where you can get to the top and then get ganked and lose it all. thats eve.

adding decals to your ship would be a cool idea. or modifying your ship with custom muffler, or adding side-skirts with criss-crossed blades or something.
i agree, this would add to the game and not ruin it, but housing? maybe for profitable reasons people would do it, but not for the playability aspect, it just wouldn't work.

At least, no to them being able to have defences, etc. These things should not have any abilities that POS's don't have, and should not have any refining, manufacturing, moon mining functions.
Just a form of storing ships and items, in low quantities, a battlecruiser at most. And should be easily destroyable by a few BS's, perhaps allowed in high sec though.
Basically, perhaps a small, destroyable object that is possible to put in high sec that has no real abilities other than to give a small aim for new players to go for... Nothing else.
Bleh. If anything, probably too much coding effort for what they'd bring to the game

Ive just realised I left a number of exotic dancers, marines and homeless(not so homeless now 'cause they live in my hanger, right?) in my hanger in empire. I havent been back in awhile, when I left the dancers had formed the homeless into a performing troupe. By now the marines have probobly bred them into a super army and used the dragons horde of minerals to equip them. So, if you live in the Viziam factory in Hibi, be advised a hostile takeover of the station may be imminent.

I have no objection to the idea in general. If implemented, I assume it would make sense within the Eve universe. CCP has done a decent job so far...I'd be interested to see what they do with the concept if they go for it.
I enjoy an immersive universe. And yes, if CCP designs it, I'm sure it could be blown up....
We already have player owned stations and outposts. There's more that can be done with those.
Just having a habitat that can be decorated with frilly things without having any impact on gameplay holds little interest to me. But I don't imagine the rascals at CCP would go in that direction.
