You're right, i should research this one first before actually posting it, but although it's just hearsay i simply don't have a reason to believe otherwise.

Don't see anything wrong with that. I am absolutely sick of people "citing" evidence, studies, "scientists", ... without being able to name their source when put to the test.

I might despise the Goons for what they represent and what they are but it is unfair to blame them for stalemate and the general state in nulsec alone All the large alliances old and new are partly to blame aswell , nor does the current sov mechanism help much either I do not agree with what you are saying , but i will defend to the death your right to say it...... The game was not PVE only, it had a specific PVP zone, as well as PVP arenas. The goons were actually integral (admitted by the devolopers themselves) in highlighting an exploit with inviting captains of an opposing race to your bridge in that you could repeatedly kill them, disallowing them from leaving. This was originally incorporated for roleplay boarding actions (gotta love RPers) Overall there was much mad and butthurt about the incident, but few understood the incident let cryptic patch a terrible oversight that should have been caught in beta. But anymore beta testers don't actually beta test, they just want to play the game and complain about the bad things. Then my free month ran out and STO crashed and burned because Cryptic is terrible at making games. The best way to fix a broken game is to push it past the breaking point. Goons should get lifelong beta access to every title as far as I'm concerned. Nothing better than a semi-organized group of so randum XD to break aspects of a game and show what needs to be fixed. Of course they should only be used as a mass data gathering tool in that endeavour. I must say though. The degree of fear and hate regarding goons in eve is reminiscent of the Republican party's fear and hatred of Muslims, Homosexuals, Mormans, and Liberals (read anyone even slightly to the left of where the party stands) in America.

The super change will see it harder to deploy them and not being able to DD anything below capital size as far as im aware, hopefully resulting in more "Good Fights". That plus the fact that most 0.0 is worth virtually squat.

Now if only they would tell us whether the goal has changed from :awesome: to :meh: (read: are they pulling a standard CCP) in a blog that contains more than pictures that have been available for over a year thinking that their silly logo somehow makes them new/relevant. For a recently enlightened company that has promised to communicate better they still don't seem to understand what it means .. still filling the ether with marketing crapola with zero substance.

Besides that, as he stated that they don't want to destroy the game, there's definitely something behind it ... so not knowing what games doesn't really change anything at all.
