The ascn hate is not what it used to be...
I remember the glory of the days of olde when a swarm of alts would scream "backstab!" and "traitors!" now its all down to a sterile "blobbers".

if you know where to look you will always get a fight. Easy way to get an even fight is to get more members and engage us with the same number of ships that we have.
x13 are good and we should have some fun times ahead of us.
as people have said ASCN dont mine trit in jita so not much chance of killing many there but feyth and impass is full of ASCN backstabbers/ blobbers/ what ever you want to call us.
While they were saying among themselves it cannot be done, it was done |

heu you wardecced the biggest alliance ingame, and then you complain about lack of targets, are you sure you looked in the right places seriously we dont mine ark/bist in jita you know
Well we knew that of course so we were looking in Tash-Murkon as well

You declare war on us and then complain that are too many of us want to fight?
Interesting.

This is interesting.
Basically, guys attack us, incur into our space, stop me from carebearing in my 0.0 home and when half the local from a Hub in the middle of Feythabolis goes out and kicks the intruders butts u say we blobbed you?
Are we now being limited to the amount of people we can bring in to defend our space? We're not the aggressors in this case remember. Oh yeh and war isn't fair, and it never will be. War's about winning, not whinning. ------------------------- Thou shalt be dispatched. |

I don't think you guys are understanding this. You're war deccing us. We're going to do whatever we can to completely annhilate you guys. I couldn't give two ****s about a fair fight. If you want to war dec us, you'd better be ready to face superior numbers, we're not going to make this enjoyable for you, we're going to make war deccing us hell.
If it means starving you of targets or bringing 50 people to fight 5 guys, then so be it. ASCN does not look kindly upon mercs "Trying to make a living and have a good time in the process" Stay away from us, we'll stay away from you.

Some of the posts in this thread are funny, though I am glad to see none of the smack is coming from ROA or X13, who both seem to be cool corps thus far.
If you want to find lots of ASCN to kill then follow the advice of the experts in Burn Eden and head out to ASCN controlled space. You are not going to find much in Empire to kill as, you see, we are not an empire based alliance. Aside from 2 alts handling T2 production our corp does not have a single player that spends more than about 10% of their time in Empire.
If you want to gank a few agent runners then war dec, if you want to get some fights then head out to 0.0. |

I think what Xantina is trying to say (as it appears some have misunderstood). Is not that we were overwhelmed by ASCN numbers during our empire war with you guys. But that towards the end. Specifically the last couple days, you guys were scarce. Even throught your travel pipe into TM.
Anyway, on a side note. I had a blast fighting ascn.
x13 will definatly have some good fights with the DDC, as they are very very formidable opponents.

Don't know who they are, but i will side with x13 due to our history with ASCN.
Stand up fights against ASCN can be a boring affair, since they are very serious about not giving up ANY advantage at all and making it not fun for their enemy to fight them, which is generally a sound tactical approach on their part.
Guerilla tactics against ASCN on the other hand can be awesome fun and might even result in some bickering among local corps, as long as you don't follow the same route every day and avoid being predictable. Predictable=blobbed and dead Objective numero uno is to avoid the blob at all costs, if you can do it the rest will be easy.
That being said, let's move on to the recipe for crispy baked hobbit meat from my EvE cookbook
We'll need some hobbits (obviously), a pinch of regional geography, and a healthy mix of the good old gank'n'run sauce. Mix ingredients in room temperature, apply the sauce (should be hot) and serve in an oval dish.
Gank'n'run sauce comes in many flavors. Some want it heavy and hard to digest with a full taste, others prefer a more fluid approach to it. I like it fluid but with some decent potential, that's why i like to mix some tech2 chili to give it the added kick. I usually take 3 spoonfuls of mobility, 2 of firepower, 1 ration of rare scouting spices of the far east, a spoonful of jam-your-sensors salt, 2 cups of webNscramble milk cream to hold it all together and i grind them all together in a blender, then cook them up in a frying pan for 2-3 minutes before serving.
In layman's terms, that means: Get some HACs and a good scout. Optimal gang is 1 cov ops (preferrably a noob corp one with a clean employment history so as not to ring alarm bells upon entering local) with a good pilot who's FAST and ACCURATE with the scanner (can't stress this enough), 1-2 ceptors, 2-3 HACs, 0-2 BS (optional) . If you get only 2 hacs, get a vagabond and a jamming ishtar.
We've done this with less ships and it was really nice fun, trying to see if we could kill a couple of expensive ships and move out before their reinforcements come.
Don't bother with empire much, Esa is the only system to find lots of hostiles and even that can be totally boring or total blobbing depending on moods. Generally ASCN prepare even their newest members and lecture them not to move aimlessly in empire when there's a war going on. Last time i was at war with them we couldn't find any substancial numbers, unless near the entrances to their space and around Torrinos (they occassionally raid G/Iron). Avoid Esa and select an alternate route into Providence, there is one less than 10 jumps (through 0.0) from Esa.
Check the map for stations and single out the outposts, like 5P-AIP and some other systems (been some time since i was down there last time, can't recall more system names). Usually ouposts have nicer traffic than simple stations (why build it there if it's not a system you like living in, right?), i think there were a couple of complexes in the same system as one of them as well.
Next step is to locate a system with a station not more than 20 jumps from an outpost. This should belong to a party neutral or hostile to ASCN, or even an NPC station. For example, last time we were there we had docking access less than 20 jumps from the easternmost outpost.
Then we simply moved a small gang through most of the outposts on an east-to-west course getting a couple of kills in each hub system along the way. As soon as we got 2-3 kills we moved on to the next hub system. If we didn't get the kills we might push our luck and wait them out, but generally it is preferred not to sit there while they are gathering a gang (though we killed a vindicator once doing just that). The nice part about this is that by the time you reach the last outpost and start on your return route, defences on the first outpost you attacked will be relaxed again and you can catch some people with their pants down once more.

Nice. Just makesure you fit atleast +5 scramble strength to each ship when you fight ascn, they love a bit of stabbage, and thats IF they even engage if you have equal numbers.

Its true, we are the only alliance in EVE that:
(i) prefers to fight with a numerical advantage - you will never find any other group of pilots in EVE avoid a fight or move to a SS when tthey do not hold the advantage and
(ii) has people that fit WCS on our ships.
I am sure Digital Fury pilots would never dream of fitting a WCS to a combat ship. |

In all reality though, the tactic Blackdog just described is pretty much the same tactic used against anyone. The roaming gank-squad is hardly anything new :) But in the end, it just contributes to the cycle of blobbage. You come to gank our soft targets, you can expect for us to try to gank your gank, etc etc.
