Believing that they should have given you anything better or anything at all is an act of "Entitlement Syndrome". CCP could always have done "better" but doing so would have likely ruined the game for a great many people for something that amounts to a single shot event. The game dynamics have not really changed and we all got to participate in a neat event that exposed most of us to a new form of culture. It was all voluntary and had a form of enticement that you get when you gamble. That is it. Really anything else would have changed things so dynamically within Eve Online as to cause an outcry in the other direction and by a lot more people.

Wrote blogs/streamed the events?

Created content for players and viewers?

You didn't have to say it. It's incredibly clear from the logic presented. You stated things that you felt were done for CCP as justifications for your complaints. You did NOT just say the gifts were crap, though that was there in addition to your exclamation of a great year for CCP and directly related it to your complaint about the gifts. It's right in the OP for all to read, that you feel some ingratitude from CCP despite what was done by the players. That statement is directly equivalent to stating you felt owed something for those acts, else there was no reason for your disappointment being compared to the action of the players.

Still you have to admit, compared to years past, this year was pretty crappy.

... well considering that before I used to use shuttles to zip in and out of losec all the time. Never had a problem. Only ships small enough to lock a shuttle before it's in warp are the ones small enough for the gate guns to actually nuke. The ships big enough to tank the gate guns were too slow to lock my shuttle.

And that's a basic shuttle. Ok in theory someone could certainly tweak a cruiser or whatever for max lock speed, but then they sacrifice the all important DPS and tank. No one I ever saw went that route, and I don't blame them. Besides, only ten year old "lulz" nitwits would even care in the first place.

Now multiply that by "Leopard" and again, as I said before, you're a ghost. They'd have better luck trying to tag a covert ops ship.

And Jita? It's a shuttle, not a freighter. You're getting your ships confused.

Rancer? Maybe, but I honestly don't give a crap about Rancer so who cares?

Oh, and this is the part where you try to convince me that you're actually just the alt of some uberskilled Titan pilot with trillions of ISK and quadrillions of SP who's seen, done and knows everything about everything.

Well kids, I'm not a pro. And that's my point. These things are simple. So simple, in fact, that even a novice like me can pull it off. So spare us the e-peen ego trip. This is EvE and there's always a bigger ego than yours out there who can spout even more bragging BS about how leet they are.

This isn't about leet. This is about running like a bunny and not getting caught. And the Leopard is very, very good at this. So I like it.
