I got to the character creator and it just DIED on me .. like, realllly slow, jerky mouse a ction.
Its down to my pc specs ofc, my proc is 2.8ghz pentum, 512 ram (upgrading today to either 1 or 1.5 gb) 128mb gforce FX.
Im hoping its the ram that was killing it and not the processor :S
(i need more ram anwyay)

More the GFX card tbh than the ram

I'm looking at the minimum specs and I might just be scratching by. What do you guys think. I cannot upgrade since I'm on an ASUS laptop.
1.7 Pentium M (which I think is about a 2.6 Pentium IV equivalent)

i run a 2.8ghz pentium 4, a gig of ram (thx mr upgrade) and a 128 gforce and im having MAJOR problems with the framerate (prolly due to my gfx)
It's playable on mine, but only just. m gona ened a new card :<

love it, tho i still need to upgrade my graphics card. 128 nvidia gforce FX isnt cuttin it with the latest drivers. It lags like hell. Whenever i'm around flame effects etc it goes nuts, like framerate goes down soooo bad. Is this a priblem with my card then? It's on all the lowest gfx settings. 2.8ghz pentium 4, 1gb ddr, and that card. Everything else in the comp is clean and no progs running. Drivers all up to date.

found out why my game isnt performing well: there is a performance issue with geforce FX cards unfortunately :<
im gona buy a new one then i guess

Still slows down though, especially when I'm exploring new areas. Areas I've already visited tend to run much faster, which makes sense. Still getting smooth play in battles though, it just gets hairy outdoors in the woods.

Is there any real point to the nirnroot quests? From what i gather the elixers arent very good, at least not worth gathering 100 nirnroot.

complete the thieves guild quests and the gray fox gives you his mask. When you wear that everybody thinks you are te gray fox and therefore the bounty only applies to him, so when you take it off you have 0 bounty :)
Means you can murder etc all you want and have no bounty when you take the thing off.

Last question, what PC are you guys running it on, I have an Athlon 3Ghz with a 6600GT and 1Gb memory. Can I expect okay framerates and graphics or is it strictly high end rigs for high end settings?
pretty much identical to what i am rnning and can run t othe highest or near to highest settings with no trouble whatsoever.
