Hi,
Most of you know that the new Elder Scrolls game, Oblivion, is coming out very soon. I was wondering if anyone else would be playing it while training for BS5 or some other high level skill.

I've been watching the game progress - looks good. I can only hope that the new AI and scripting can solve, or at least ease the biggest problem of Morrowind: you're essentially living in a static, dead world with identikit npc's. That really ruined the fun of it for me. :S -------------------------------------------------- Loyalty, Integrity, Honour. |

Oh yes I will. But i dont have that high expectation of it. Read all the reviews and such and some are scaring me a bit. I hope it will live up to the hype. But I'm sure that Gothic 3 will be "The" RPG of this year..Either way i have ordered the special edition ..13 day's to go..
sigh
-good thing when i come back i wll have BC skill at 5 :)

Edited by: Saeris Tal''Urduar on 14/03/2006 04:21:46 The guy at Gaming Steve got to play 6 hours of it mixed between the xbox360 version and the PC version.
If I remember correctly he said all quests (and maybe all dialog) will be voiced over...no more reading text.
Hes talking about it in 3 different parts about 20mins per show. I've only had the chance to listen to his first one...but if what he says is true the screens that we've all been seeing dont do the rest of the game justice.
I'm seriously debating on doing a preorder...and I never do preorders. Thats how hyped I am about this game.

I am definately buying that game. Looks too good to miss out on, and the previews all made me drool over the game ^^. To the Elder Scrolls experts here - is it gonna be a problem if I do not know any of the previous games (lore etc)?

oblivion is set on a different continent to morrowind so the story from that won't be that important. however, understanding the backstory between the races often helps to make sense of things

My time in the last game consisted of 30 minutes wondering where to go next followed by 30 minutes running around a small village stealing everything before being chased out of town.
I then wandered for about 5 minutes before a magician fell out the sky, then i found a cave where something i couldnt attack killed me instantly.
Thus concluded my time in the elder scrolls.
Despite that I am still looking forward to Oblivion
Start wearing purple for me now
