do you mean geforce 6800 128MB? It should work like a dream. If still jerky check ur settings and drivers.
@ParMizaN: Download the demo and test it. Notebooks get very powerfull lately. But at the face selection screen it will freeze/slowMo as on most cards.

Being a vampire aint easy
You have it all wrong, vampirism isnt a curse its a blessing. Here's a secret, join the Arena. And once a night at around 2am travel there, and you can feed on one of the combatants sleeping in the Bloodworks. That will allow you to travel in the sunlight without damage. For 24 hours.
Or if you've joined the Dark Brotherhood just feed on one of your brothers or sisters..they wont mind. As a matter of fact if I'm in a dungeon for a few days and I havent fed, my first stop is always the Arena, you can run in before you even take 50 dmg from the sunlight.
I'm a Dark Elf vampire. Dark-E natural resistance to fire +75, vampires weakness to fire -20, still equals +55 fire resistance. Almost no negative side effects.
Has anyone else gotten the contract to kill the five guests locked in the house. And if so, did you get as much pleasure killing the defensless people as I did? (I replayed that mission 3 times just so I could kill them in more inventive ways. Favorite was dropping a dagger and using the telekinesis spell to hurl it at them while they were sleeping.)
I almost want to call in sick for work tomorrow....almost.

Edited by: Kanibal on 28/03/2006 14:06:41 Well I haven't try it on my rig yet, only on brother's, hope it will be playable on mine but after few hours of testing it and reading forums I got one big problem with the game. I'm still not sure how much I hate autoleveling npcs.
Autoleveling enemies got few rather negative sideaffects for me. For example on lvl1 you meet common bandits aprox on your level with lame iron/leather armor. But on higher levels they are all supposed to be replaced/upgraded to mithril/glass. It kinda spoils it to me when every enemy on my level drops the same loot and that on higher levels supposedly rare equipment will drop from almost every enemy. I was hopping I will have to search hard for some uber stuff.
Another complaint is that with autoleveling in place there is not really much unique. It kinda kills exploring which I was looking forward to a lot. So you don't search for hidden dungeons to find out if there is anything rare hidden guarded by some uber boss but only to level up and get some money. Only unique thing are the quests I guess.
And another thing is difficulty. Basicly difficulty is supposed to stay more or less the same for the whole game to avoid player becoming unbeatable god on certain level or with certain equipment. Well for first I always played sp rpgs to get to god lvl and pwn mobs. Second there is rather nasty danger that if you made bad char or don't level up most effectivly your char will suck more and more the higher level you get. There is one sollution to this, you don't level up.
I made a char which have all major skills in magic which I don't use so I can't level up. The skills I use raise slower than if they were set as major skills but I'm basicly getting stronger while all enemies stay the same. I quite easy pwned arena quest on lvl1 and it kinda sucks for me from rpg point of view.
I may play it anyway for story and quests but I am rather disappointed and I hope Gothic 3 will rock cos if not I'll declare rpg genre dead and play only fps. [EDIT: and EVE of course ]

I was a morrowind junkie, but I just find Oblivion rather sucky tbh. Sure graphics is great, but:
1.) wtf is with all the mines and caves. Every dungeon you have to raid is either a cave or a catacombe of sorts. What happened to the uber cool daedra shrines? Spending your in-game time in some dark cave with different shades of gray is just not cool.
2.) camera and movement... you know, even WoW has it better. A lot better.

It's barely above minimum, but it should work. I have slightly higher specs, and it works wuite nicely on med settings.
I'd strongly advise to get at least 512 more ram though.

love it, tho i still need to upgrade my graphics card. 128 nvidia gforce FX isnt cuttin it with the latest drivers. It lags like hell. Whenever i'm around flame effects etc it goes nuts, like framerate goes down soooo bad. Is this a priblem with my card then? It's on all the lowest gfx settings. 2.8ghz pentium 4, 1gb ddr, and that card. Everything else in the comp is clean and no progs running. Drivers all up to date.

Edited by: Zysco on 28/03/2006 21:01:21 Edited by: Zysco on 28/03/2006 20:59:15 Its pretty fun. The combat system is pretty terrible though. 1v1 is great but as soon as you get to 1v3ish its just worthless. Not too sure about the whole autoleveling thing either, and the entire leveling system itself kind of sucks. Also illusion magic is just ridiculously overpowered, its just kill someone, go invisible, run away.

I liked killing everyone except the one alcoholic dude and the rich guy and the alcoholic dude was like "omg dude the rich guy killed everyone we must go pwn him now!!" and grabbed a weapon and killed the guy, then he is like "finally the killer is dead" ...and then i killed him.

To be fair I don't think you're meant to be able to take 3 on 1! If its a 3 on 1 situation you have to try and make them come one at a time, the best place would be to push yourself into a cornor and keep that shield/guard up...and just hope they arn't casters. ---------------------------------------- Space-Slacker |

Imperial Guard : "Then pay with your blood!!1"
I get off my horsey and shoot him in teh face with my silver bow, which was stolen from an imperial archer I killed for a laugh.
Then I proceed to smack him about the place with my silver longsword, also stolen from an imperial guard... as well as all his armor and all his clothes and sexeh boots.
When he's dead I then pilfer his still warm corpse, leaving him nekkid in the dirt on the side of the road. While heading off to sell my stuff at a remote in where I won't get ganked by NPC guards because of the 95,000 gold bounty now on my head

The only beefs I got with the game so far ( lvl 2 nightblade for the record ) is that i cleared some evil necromancers lair at lvl 1.... wtf, he's powerful enough to have a huge freaking castle with loads of skeletons and zombies around and I wtf own em all at lvl 1.
Complaint 2, I know it's a freaking dungeon but by god does have to be pitch dark in here. Basically you either need some sort of night vision, or a big stack off torches which means no shield and one handed weapons only.
Lvling seems weird since stat point increases are based on your skills, so if you don't get enough skill increases you end up with minimal stat icnreases.
My nightblade still rocks though, decent melee, good magic own it all.
And how exactly do you adapt to potentially getting killed by everybody you kill? -Nero Scuro If I miss you, it will be because my tracking is a little off. - Grey Area |

The Unicorn is stronger and faster than shadowmare iirc. I killed the only one I saw. I had a good reason though.
