If you went to the store and strawberries were 50 dollars per box, would you say strawberries are overpriced, or that all produce was?

I only have 12000 posts, so it couldn't be that many 
CCP has stated over and over that they are not changing the T2 market. So debating how to change it is pointless.
They may of course add new features (such as BPC releases) to improve the current situation. But they will not replace the current system.

They stated it would change, but they also stated they will keep the current system. The main proposals are the following:
1. Limited BPC releases through R&D agents. This may involve paying RPs for BPCs of undersupplied items (HACs, cap IIs, etc).
2. More BPOs for undersupplied items (Exhumers, HACs, etc).
The end solution will probably be a combination of the above.

You're right, it's a complete myth. A GM once told a player how it works when he asked in petition and was kind enough to let us know. Asteroids are not destroyed when popped. What happens is that eve doesn't show you asteroids with 0 ore in them. You can't see them or interact with them but they're still there. Ore that is mined is randomly seeded throughout asteroids of that type in the universe. So if you mine for months only on one half of eve, ore will decrease in amount and be storing up on the other half.
Popping roids does nothing but inconvenience those who like to use bookmarks to clumps of asteroids they mine frequently and make it look like there's more ore since there are more asteroids.

A myth propagated by those who refuse to accept that there is a problem with bookmarks at the moment and will do anything to prevent them from being fixed. Including scaring new players with lies.
There is absolutely no necessity for instajumps. Sure they make travel a bit faster but there are other ways to go faster too. Instajumps are a big nerf to fast ships and make blockaderunners obsolete
