Hey guys, just a little heads up for you frigate users. Take care going against missile cruisers after the next patch.
I went up against a raven in a punisher last night on chaos. Even though i had the punisher kitted out for extreme speed (4x32m/s overdrives and 2x 30% afterburners and nav 4) and was orbiting at 500m ( and orbit almost works properly now) the missiles got to me damned quickly.

Hmm as a member of Mercenery frigates (need to leave tho which sucks) and a participant of the attack on that wimpy dominix and his 2 omen lackeys...
I just wanna say this.. My punisher woulda escaped clean if I hadn't CTDd in front of an Arcane Technologies Armageddon going 800+ m/s on autopilot... 
He of course blew my ship up and podded me.  (wouldn't have been able to if autopilot had worked) So now Tyrrax has been podded twice in 7 months of play (520k isk clones)
I just love how the only times I have ever gotten podded were both due to Battleships in addition to CTDs (first time 3 days ago when I lost my crucifier to a CTD) and my pod got locked and warp disrupted and blasted to pulp on my way home (by a CFS battleship).. second time 2 days ago when I lost my Punisher+pod to a CTD (didn't even see the armageddon lock me after )
Arcane Technologies are wimps.. :P
Oh and those two thoraxes were fun to kill :) Both good sports too... Well the first one was a very good sport anyway.. Actually enjoyed being killed by us and learned to respect frigs... :) No smack talk from him.. and he had the sense to self-destruct so we only got 3 hammerheads from him :P All in all a very enjoyable and worthy opponent/victim..

Thanks for the heads up, maybe you should train acceleration control ? My afterburners give me 43.7% speed increase (basic ones not lif) with lvl 3 accel contr

... Will not help with the new missiles; unless you can jam your target, (and they don't happen to have FoF missiles on them) or shoot from far enough distance to have room for some defender missiles... going against heavy missile carrier you're pretty much as good as dead.
Then again, not like it's that different from the usual MO... :s

What kind of missiles?
I think heavies should be to fight against cruisers or frigates at long distance.
The light missiles should be anti-frigate.

i was a member of shadow industries until last weekend.
the ceo declared war on you then resigned. he did it as a parting gift th the corp. i have a lot of friends in shadow who are hurt by his actions and feel stabbed inthe back.
rage who lost his thorax to you is a good friend of mine and did not want the war. if yu can contact sardinok or myself in game. i hope we can clear this situation up and hope it wont escalate as the old ceo Mr Mordan who sanctioned the act has left and is with W.M.S. now.
i hope some arrangement can be produced.

that second thorax belonged to my corp, if I hadnt been so bloody hell far away I would have come and wiped you out... of about 600k, these frigates are so cheap, have to try this someday
but I wonder, it was in 0.2 sec space, didnt concord come to get you?

All, unfortunately... unless it was somewhat tuned in the latest Chaos build, even the torpedoes have no problem with hitting the frigate orbitting at really small radius and high speed :/

Aye, at least this way there would be some use for the light missiles....

hehe good show but othing like what me and khan did last night in a .2 me and him in moas just about took out a armagedon named swash had him warp jammed and all guns and missles flying he got down to only 20% armor/hull and luck be on his side cause unfortunaly for us he got out of warp scrabble range ;/ would have been some great drops o well next time he wont be so lucky

First one we pounced on, the other two we invited to fight at the sun/planet, and they came, thinking they could beat frigates  .
If it was the first then respect, this guy knew how to die (self-destruct, and he didnt launch any useless drones, and he didnt talk smack).
The other two were a bit stupid to come to the fight, but they took it on the cheek too. All in all, a good hunt.

So tell me, if let's say that your prey got one of you targeted before you jammed him, would he still be able to launch drones at you since you were already targeted?

Im sure that even when u are target locked your drones still attack the ship attacking you.
This is why i dont attack a throx in my bb.
Im sure that this is the case.

After a lot of fighting (and tbh mainly gallente ships) i'm pretty certain that the following applies with drones:
- if drones are out, and a person begins to jam then the drones WILL attack that person
- if drones are in the drone bay and the person is jammed those drones are able to be launched, but will NOT attack anything.
I'm pretty sure of this because when people have launched drones after we have jammed them, they just fly around, we shoot em to bits for a while, then that person drags em back in. If already launched before we jam them, then they start to eat us frigates.

We(CFS) didn't mean to pod you, we were under orders to not pod actually (since you guys don't), hence why I didn't waste you in the asteroid belt. :P But the battleship didn't know you were in a pod and locked with the threat indicator so he didn't actually see your icon.
Such is life. ;)
It was a fun chase, ****akri was my corpmates first ever PvP kill. :P

Lol, was the Armageddon afk or something? I got Genghis Kahn's Moa down to about 50% structure last night when he jumped my Thorax, and I had a pretty crappy setup with only 3 heavy drones. ;-D

Lol. Of course I got whomped by him. I was on my first ever solo npc hunt with a pretty poor setup. A well set up solo kestral could probably have taken me out. My point is that if he had that much trouble killing me you guys must have been very lucky against a battlehip ;-D He should think himself lucky he met me, had that been a better equiped ship he attacked he'd have been toast in about 20 seconds flat ;-D
