Yes. I know... deal with it. this is eve blah blah. When I created the character I didnt think much about it. The first time i joined a english speaking corp i noticed they had problems pronuncing it or finding a short.
It sucks because i am already over 40m sp and I am considering to retire my main to soloing because of his name.
Sorry if it sounds like a first world problem but i is trully annoying.
I dont mind my name as a family name but I really need a first name easy to pronounce. |

I can't do phonetics, but try "bee der meyer" in English.
If you know German (Or any North Germanic language), Biedermeier will be an easy pronounciation. |

I've always thought CCP missed out on a big revenue opportunity here.
1. Let characters change their name for 1 plex.
2. Only allow name changes once per year.
3. Keep a name history for each character so that name changes can't be used to hide previous criminal or scamming activity. |

You guessed right. It is the spanish way to write Biedermeier. The reasons are a bit too obscure to be post here. At the time it seemed a good idea. Thanks for "bee der". That is like most of my spanish friends call me. Ill include it in my info page.
It is kinda silly but I wanted to express my frustration. I dont think Bidermaier is bad as a family name but I feel my character lacks a proper first name. As sad as it sounds I would happily pay not even Plex but real life money to have a first name added, even a random one, even Gaylord Bidermaier would make me happy. |

I can sympathize with Jeff here, but I think CCP is afraid to complete the ISK for SP circle that character bazaar would become.
If you could change names I'd have a better name, a dozen archon pilots, and an even more embarrassing lossboard.
Tell me again about how every playstyle you dont engage in "doesn't require any effort" and everyone who does it needs to die in a fire. Be sure to mention about how you tried it once but it was too easy/boring/ethnic-homophobic slur.-á |

You could try a petition, it'll probably be turned down but if you get one of the GM's who doesn't feast on the flesh and souls of children they might help you out.
Maybe even one of the GM's who has already eaten a plump, innocent child and sated their lust for misery.

If you haven't already established a reputation with that name it shouldn't be too much of an issue.
Of course if you really despise your name, you could buy a new character and safe some of the trouble of raising up a new alt.

They won't. All they'll do is, if you're really young character, change some basic capitalisation but that's it. Apart from obviously having a name that breaks the EULA. |

Nicking good nicknames (LOLPUN) is hard in a 10 year old single shard game. You could always contact active nameholders or ask around for good ones, as character sales are permitted.
The ultimate names like Eve are probably worth thousands of RL cash if they are player reserved. |
