It seems that some may have missed the sarcasm.
However this post does highlight some serious questions. EvE is at its heart a PvP game more so than any other MMO (well there was planetside but it wasnt so great). EvE is a cutthroat universe where EVERYONE is out to get you no matter how new you are or whatever the hell you'r flying.
I HATE PvE, thats why i left WoW and EQ2. EvE is unique and its true that there are many new players coming from other MMO's to this one expecting more of the same.
I say DONT CHANGE for anyone.
Learn to lose your 20mil ship, learn to lose 100mil implants. Deal with the knocks and it will only make you stronger and wiser.

lol agree'd besides there's new space mmo's commin out one is Star Trek Online wich will have tons of focus on PVE (hope not to much or I wont get it,) buy those instead of trying to change this game for rest. Dont like EVE-pvp? boohoo you should have known this before you got the game. Guess you folks dont read the fineprint when signing contracts either and prolly have 100's of license games that all sux cause you bought it for the *pictures* on the cover box...

I'm new at Eve. Didn't come from WOW though, or any other MMO. Most of my gaming has been offline, strategy games, the like. The computer opponent will never be as challenging as an evil, ruthless human being.
Different people play games for different reasons. Eve has one of the finest online formats to come down the road. It's play style will never be to everyones liking, and it shouldn't be.
Eve is tough. Some don't like it so tough. Wait a bit, you'll have a venue come along shortly. But Eve is the first, and it should not change an obviously winning philosophy.
I don't like losing expensive ships either. Lost my third Thrasher last night. I did something stupid. If I don't do stupid things, I live.
Don't change Eve.

If they did make a PVE server where the only PVP is during a war, I would bet it would be a popular server. A lot of games have both PVP and PVE servers, why not eve and let the people paying for the game decide the style of play they prefer
The only problem is that the players in the PVP would complain because they would have nobody to gank except themselves.

Why split the game and ruin it maybe in the long term, if the people who pretend to be unhappy now, play and pay for the game anyway. The game can't be so bad after all. Well, I like this mixture of player types. The people who can't stand it, have always the option to play something else.
