Is this just about erradicating G/IRON?
Are you somehow outraged about this TRUST/G fictional link?
Do you all plan on creating a mega alliance if IRON/G/RAZOR, the only substantial hostile entity to the 4 major invaders, gets destroyed?
Does EC-P look pretty?
I'm sure Im not alone in wanting to know the ideological underpinnings for this unparalelled level of cooperation between the four-corners of the EVE-verse. (awesome mouthfull)

isn't it obvious? They wish to use the outposts cloning facilities, as well as the new japanses looking female char combined with a household cat, to finally create the army of catgirls which kayo so desperately desires.

Its just a easy way to make a united north and south. If ASCN, 5, Bob can keep these 600man fleets coming you might aswell give up. To many got the "If you cant beat them, join them" attitude. That goes especially for F-e.
Keep these things up and its gona be a boring game in the end.

Guys you'll have to excuse hani as he's still a total newb.
Hani, the reason for the attack is that they heard I am a skilled brewmaster and that I have a new batch of IPA on tap. They asked if they can have some and, of course, I said "get bent"
They heard that I keep my beer stock in EC-P8R but I've actually moved it into Branch.
Better luck next time, guys.

I though burn eden had the most annoying gameplay in eve, but 600 men blob on a non-military alliance, wow, just wow. Bob & co are now just a bunch of carebears that can't fight ? 600 people when 100 would have been way overkill, what an impressive waste of ressources.

20+ starbases to take into reinforced mode and destroy.
6x more people: job done 6x faster.
What's impressive waste of resources for one can be simple way to speed up boring process for another...

If 500 of those ships were dreadnought, indeed. I don't even think it's possible to have any kind of fight with 1000 people in a system, hell with 100 there's already issues. Even if your enemies could actually get 400 people together, there is no way they could do, then what ? jumping on a 500 ships camp ?
Using these kind of numbers just make it impossible to jump and fight back, no matter how many people they can get.
I'm just saying you want to win a war without firing a shot. Which is fine I guess, but disapointing.

the point of locking down a system for pos shooting is exactly to prevent any opposition
thats the simple goal of this tactic, which is employed by all forces big enough to pull that through. and yes G/IRON uses the same tactics like all all other major players. Not with those numbers but the same tactic and same underlying goals.
ofc in most cases, the other party will still have a chance to break through. Not in ec this time, its disheartening and annoying if you have not even a chance at counterattacking. Nonetheless in essence all do the same, BoB only did it in big style.

More dreadnaughts = more support. Or you wind up like RA losing what, 11 of those babies... because they were left pretty much unguarded while busting pos shields.
Does it make possible fight much harder to accomplish. Yes, there's no denying that. But the alternative is trimming down your forces to the point where time needed to carry out what you intend to do ... gets greatly exceeded. So you are basically asking one side to waste their playtime in order to allow other side have fun. And tell me, honestly. When _ever_ in EVE _anyone_ went out of their way to make it more boring for themselves, so that enemy could have fun?
What needs to be done will be done. Then everyone can have regular and more reasonably sized fleet fights all day long. Why cry about it? ^^;
