About to sell a series of three conversations I was acting on behalf of an anonymous seller. As per the sellers instructions I was to take the two billion the buyer eventually offered for the first conversation and then inform him that the seller really did require the last billion (making it three before he would reveal his identity via the chat) before allowing me to hand over the tears in question.
Am I at fault for adhering to my client's wishes (him being the seller) and thus decieving the buyer?
As of this writing buyer left convo in a huff promising retribution.
So, in short, seller wanted 3-1-1-1 billion for a set of three conversations detailing tears, buyer offered 2-2-2. I was instructed to take the 2 and ask for additional 1 before revealing seller's identity by finalising sale of first convo. Listened to seller. |

Never use alts, never needed to. Seller is primairy employer (paid me for making the offer, so I had no stake in actually selling). that values giving away his name at three billion.
Donno if I should fear retribution, the offer was sound and above board. I can't really help the buyer wanting to change the conditions.
Was offered ten billion for sellers name, but I can't take that deal since I would then betray my employer. Also, kinda weird to offer ten billion for something already priced at three and almost paid for. |

Tears are valued at 6 billion, seller wants a further 1 billion to disclose the first chatlog, to be paid by the interested party that agreed with the 6 billion valuation of said tears.
Please don't insult me by goading with an alt to skimp on the additional 1 billion required to unlock the first chatlog.
Furthermore, the threat was not well recieved. Any further threats to my person will inflate the price (you know who you are). |

The seller is offering the victim's tears to the cause of the tears. Tears were shed in a private setting (so no local tears, but genuine behind closed doors tears). Additionaly the seller is also selling the added betrail of selling the log of a hurtfull moment shared in confidence with the one that ordered the hurt being done.

Nope, employer would probably facepalm and applaud me for turning one billion to complete total three billion trade into ten billion for revealing his name (wich he himself only valued at three billion).
Wouldn't feel comfortable taking the extra isk. E-honour and all that.

The solution is simple, he offered more than the worth of all three chat logs. Take the guy's money, hand him the name and chat logs, then transfer the agreed payment to the seller and pocket the excess. Heck, you can even tell the seller what you did. I wouldn't begrudge you the extra if I were the seller. |
