Anyone know what it would be with 6 t2 pulse, lvl 4 command, medium pulse spec, and 1 t2 heat sink? --

With max skills it gets 444.5 DPS with 6x Heavy Pulse II using Conflagration M, and one Heat Sink II

Edited by: HippoKing on 04/04/2006 09:31:14 i did this yesterday: totally maxed skills and no implants, it hit 912 DPS.
that includes a full rack of heatsinks, a full rack of conflag equipped pulses, t2 drones and even a t2 heavy fury missile launcher in the last high
edit: i think that figure was actually with a t2 BCU in one low - gave more overall DPS.
This was designed to be the absolute maximum possible, not a viable setup

I never count the DPS but it's pretty high. I have command ships 4, medium pulse spec 4 and over 5 million sp in gunnery. I've used it to hunt serpentis BS and it dhreds them like no one's business. 400+ dps sounds about right.

With 6 t2 Heavy Beams, 2 t2 HS's and good skills = 500+ dps

Absolution should be, in theory, the highest DPS general combat ship (ie, not a capital ship) in the game at the moment.
Though I havent done the maths on that.

925
remember, these are completely maxed. if there is a spare highslot, i'll put a launcher in. all lows will be damage mods.
they aren't viable setups, just theoretical maxes
and no, i couldn't face doing the n-hawk

Hehe. Poor old Nighthawk...
I doubt you will get more than 350 absolute max DPS there.
Maybe 400 at a push, including a turret and the drones, but a NH has pathetic PG so cant usually consider fitting a turret in the 7th High slot. ________________________________________

I'd imagine the Sleipnir to have a little closer to the top boys in its actual DPS, since it doesn't need to tank its lows.
Hmms. Its about time I played with the numbers and setups for these. You've whet my appetite. Byebye work for the rest of the day :P

Could someone talk me through the actual maths you're doing to get these figures?
The main bit I'm wondering about is how you work in the max skills and more specifically what order the boni are applied in.
I can work them out for my own ships as I can just read the skilled attribs straight from the fitted weapon and do some sums, but in terms of the theory I need to be told I'm afraid!

Nighthawk with 6x Heavy Missile Launcher II, Neutron Blaster II, 5x Hobgoblin II, 5x DG BCU, 5% missile ROF implant, and TII ammo does 603.9DPS

Edited by: Talthrus on 04/04/2006 14:08:27 You can also look at it this way: The absolution is pretty much just a Zealot and a half in terms of damage.
I get roughly 525 DPS with my Zealot with 3 HS II (HAC 5, spec 4, 3% dmg implant). Do the math and you get 787.5 DPS.
Edit: This is just turret DPS. Keep in mind you have drones on top of that (in addition to a nasty tank ) ----------------------

You take the base stats of the gun, as you can see them on the market. The skills that apply are then applied as multipliers in any random order. F.e:
You have a skill at lvl5 that gives 5% damage per lvl and a skill at lvl 4 that gives 2% damage per lvl.
Base damage mod * 1.25 * 1.10. Base damage mod * (1 + (5 * 0.05)) * (1 + (4 * 0.02)) Not like this: Base damage mod * (1 + 0.25 + 0.1)

Edited by: Xonix on 05/04/2006 01:34:41 Dominix: 938 DPS (6 x Ion blaster cannon II, 5x Ogre II)
Megathron: 1015 DPS (7 x Netron blaster cannon II, 5 x Ogre II, Siege missile launcher II) 968 without siege.
Stacked the damage mods in both cases of course(2 ballistic controls on the mega).
I thought the domi might outdo the mega for awhile but it wasn't to be. It's damn close though, and the domi has the extra mid slot. I also thought sentries would out damage heavies, wasn't to be either, which I think silly really.
This wasn't with tech II ammo by the way, were you guys using tech II?
What are your opinions on these two then? Is the apoc in first place as top damage dealer then?
Oh and to whoever asked how we crunch these numbers....pure genius mate, nothin' to do with a program called quickfit :)

I think your numbers are off, cuz without drones and only 1 mag stab (I think any viable Bthron setup has 3) you get 800 DPS with 7 neutron II's. 2 mag stabs and 5 ogres more must be way up there
