Just how many percent of the Minmatar populace do you reckon to be 'freedom fighters'?
It might be similar to the number of Amarrians actually opposing slavery.
I tend to think both are well below 5%.
The average Minmatar would profit from a return to the fold of the Empire as things would only change for the better for them. I have seen Minmatar slums and the conditions under which most of your populace have to live.
Amarrians are not bloodthirsty beasts torturing their slaves to death.
I despise the very vocal minority that creates this picture here in the summit as much as you do. I surmise that they are wealthy commoners with delusions of power they'll never hold due to their position within our society.
I am a commoner myself. I have served in the legions of the Empire for almost all of my life. My parents were poor workers and signing me up for the legion at the age of six was the best they could do for me. The legion cared for me. The legion educated me. The legion taught me to obey and know my place within the Empire.
I started my career as a lowly Mastati in the imperial groundforcs, fighting for his majesty on dozens of planets. I was willing to sacrifice my life in return for all I had received from the Empire and rose through the enlisted ranks until I carried the standard of the unit and later on the standard of the Empire into battle.
Courage, bravery and unquestionable loyalty made me, a commoner, the child of workers barely above the level of slaves, the captain of imperial frigattes, cruisers and finally battleships.
Those willing to embrace the scriptures and serve the Empire with all they can give are rewarded. Slaves can be raised to the status of commoners as the Ni-Kunni can attest.
There are rumors that commoners, who served the Empire above the call of duty, have even been given a new identity as holders as a reward for their loyalty.
We conquer and enslave in the name of the one and for the glory of the Empire, so much is true. We value loyalty, granted. We are not the beasts the false propaganda of the 'freedom fighters' tries to make us though. The Empire cares for all of it's slaves, commoners and holders. The latter rule and the former serve. I fail to grasp what's 'evil' about that - the Empire brings peace and prosperity to all who embrace it.
