I'm not sure I like this feature. It's really not even about the merits of whether it could be a good gameplay mechanic or not. It just seems like it shouldn't be anyone's business but your own whether the ship is insured or not. I'm not sure what the reasoning is behind this, though, and would love to know more about what brought it about before it goes on TQ. |

Wait... the remove insurance from Concord deaths, and add in the ability to see who has insurance? So now, the miner can guess that the BS next to him with insurance isn't going to gank him, but the Dessie without it will. |

Sweeter tears? I don't see a problem with this feature. When you get into a car wreck you find out who does and does not have insurance. What's the difference with a space wreck? I think it's fine. Knowing that is just more lulz on a killmail... and lulz are always good. All GëíGêçGëí Ships | Many Odd GëíGêçGëí Items (+Drones) | <-- Links to showInfo in-game |

All ships are insured, by the way. But you don't have to pay for the lowest level of coverage.

So now everyone will have spies in The Secure Commerce Commission? Are we to believe they have no security over the insurance details. For that reason alone it makes little sense.
I don't know of any insurance company that gives out other peoples insurance policies.
TBH I don't care either way, I'm just trying to make sense of why it would be there. Nex (Cash Shop)-á/ Aurum - removing sand from the sandbox since Incarna. Currently the only use for aurum is to buy virtual items in the in-game store, but Cockerill expects to expand its uses in the future. |

It's a new feature to help Tier 3 BC pilots find targets.
Now let's see a feature where we can see if the CARGO is insured. |

But, since this is EVE, it'll be the battleship that ganks them. Just for the laughs. And to keep the miners on their toes. Surrender is still your slightly less painful option. |

I can't remember the last time I insured a ship and I personally don't really care about this.
But I can see where people might find it a little over intrusive. There really is no need to know that about someone except for the tear reaction if you decide to go ahead and gank them.
At the end of the day it doesn't add anything to the game so why put it in?

Methinks there would be much more tear redaction if there was a little sign informing the EVE community of who had an insufficient clone, so that the community at large could make sure to remind these players of how unwise it is to fly around with an out-dated clone. |

Mr Epeen
It's been a long time for me as well.
I'm slightly puzzled as well, although there are many that would feel more ammunition to needle someone actually is an addition to the game.
Perhaps it ties into something else we haven't seen yet.
My pet theory is that CCP still wants there to be a sort of balance between suicide ganker and victim, but I think they are trying for a more logical way to attain that balance than the status quo. Considering the other changes we have seen, I wouldn't be surprised if we see a change in the war declaration system soon.
Edit: Or possibly the bounty system, or both. To kill the enemy and break their toys!
It's not so much a mission statement,-áit's more like a family motto. |
