I am training Cruiser lvl 5 and i don't know weather im going to train for a Curse or a Zealot first. I'm 100% PvP, looking for a ship that would do good in small fleets and a little solo. I am leaning towards the Curse because of its diversity and i love NOS. However i would save myself about a month in training if i went to a Zealot because i dont have drone skills and i have weapon upgrades 5. But don't forget the main idea (Mini fleet or solo)

Its not like you need tons of SP to use Nosferatu, and the prerequisites for Recons is nice to have anyways. (Sig Analysis V etc.)
So train for both

Zealot first (given that you already have gunnary skills), Curse later.
It is no fun without lvl 5 recon, good ew skills and good drone skills anyways. Might as well use a geddon with noses and drones for same even better results and less price if you dont have those skill up.

I used to fly a zealot...but curse is lethal...faaaaar more lethal then a zealot...it drains over 300 cap every 6 seconds...from over 30k range...jamms the targed and boom...

You can pick a curse up for under a ton, i dont even wana guess with a zealot now.
Train for Curse imho, but tbh t2 ships all of them except ceptors and some AF's are totally overpriced. So i personally just used t1 latly unless you can afford the isk loss if you lose it.
tbh ive found that the curse and pilgrim are the only ships t2 i would pay for, theres ALOT of small\solo gangs that use full nos t1 ships, a zealot just wouldnt survive these days it would be sucked dry before you got off several volleys.

Curse is alot more fun than the zealot.
Curse has EW Tracking disruptor bonus that cripples zealots Nos Drones
Only thing to be scared about in a curse is another curse/drone ship. Also EW ships, but thinking about it, all ships fear EW. Not much of a problem in a curse tho because of its sensor strength.

With them drain bonuses, Neuts > Nos.. 2 Neuts/1 Nos + Cap Injector ftw

How does that make ANY difference whatsoever????
1v1ing the ships together is completely irrelivent to which is better overall and in different roles, so please, lets everyone stop saying that x ship will own y ship when they arent even in the same class.

A Curse will destroy a Zealot. Completely and utterly.
That said - the Zealot is a simply awesome ship to have in a gang. Quick and flexible with a big punch, I take my Zealot out for more general operations and the Curse for more specialised situations.

Tracking disruptor, already zealot start to struggle, being able to nos it down in 12 second to 0 cap. Dead Zealot.

It is only theory yeah, and personally I think that the curse have the upper hand, cause even the jammer you can fit in a curse... but it is not a sure win...
Consider also that if you are away, zealot can warp away... if you are close, how much time the zealot need to break your tank with T2 Crystals and skill maximized?

Well, setup is a personal thing... if someone make a total gank sniper tempest and then get killed by 2 interceptors, this not mean that the tempest is ****...
Also, consider the scenarios... we are talking like if 2 pilots meet in an arena and fight 1vs1 zealot vs curse... but this is an unlike scenario... Drone can be destroyed (and after that you are unarmed), and a 5 NOS setup mean that you fly in a gang... cause if you go alone with drone and NOS only, pray to meet just 1 enemy at a time... (you cannot even NPC)..
5 NOS setuop (but even 4 NOS setup) seem a Specialized Gang setup... talk solo... in a gang a zealot can be fitted even better for counter the NOS.

@ recon lvl 4 you drain 63 cap per 6 sec with a regular nos
With Corpum A it's a bit lower as they got longer range, but lower nos amount.

Fly with a Gal recon lachsis and watch his locking range fall through the floor ;).
I reckon a couple of recons in a gang of varied types will be a real nasty handful  ========= "I am not saying there should be capital punishment for stupidity, but why can`t we just take the safety labels off everything and let the problem fix its self |
