Just disqualify anyome who breaks the rules. In fact just disqualify everyone who hasn't put a bid in and your troubles will be over.

Is that reserve already met? If not how much is it, or is it one of those "secret" reserves?

Boo hiss.
I hate hidden reserves. Makes bidding feel like a waste of time until you mention we hit it. Post reserve and buyout already, even if the buyout may seem a bit sick.

I advise posting reserve if possible. This will make the process much more "unpleasant" for buyers and will assure somebody actually hits your target minimum price.

Last I checked, bpos tend to sell for what they make in isk per year. Not going to do the math & spoil it for potential buyers, but pls, I dont want to hear people whining about how much it is, etc. This is one if not the best bpo in game atm.

Reserve is not really important as if it isnt far from it then would prob sell. But as for a Buyout How can you put a price on something no one knows what its worth. If I put too much then I am being greedy if I put too little then Im being a Idiot and everyone will have there idea of what the ideal price is and it wont be the same for 2 people

Archmage, as I remarked in my personal mail and in convo the other day... The real value of this bpo is beyond what a single entity or even a group of people can gather together.
To gather this much, it is necessary to sell off assets in 'fire sale' style, well under market value of items. If one had more time and knew reserve price, one could take their time to sell items at their real value.... Unfortunately, not knowing reserve and not being reasonably sure about the auction outcome, one would not go thru this procvess only to find himself not obtaining the BPO in the end due to some unrealistics reserve price.
I am only asking for it as I need to see if I should be going thru the effort of sacrificing billions of ISK by fire selling other assets to gather funds for this purchase. Nobody carries 50b+ in their wallets in ISK since sitting ISK are depreciating ISK (everyone invests most of their money to make more ISK).
I hope the reasoning above is sensible enough to establish reserve price or admitting you have no idea, which is fine. If the latter is true, you should just say there is no reserve and you WILL sell to whoever higher bidder is.
Thanks.

Would it be possible to state your reserve please. This will determine if I want to keep on bidding and going thru the motion of gathering funds or just let it go since it will not be possible to gather this much anyways... Or just state you will sell at top price offered here.

Naal's reasoning is valid on all counts and posting youre reserve will only beneffit you in this auction.
Lets assume for a moment that youre reserve is 300 bil. A potential buyer will look at his wallet which only shows 200 bil and quick sell some of his bpos to be able at least to meet youre 300 bil reserve + a bit more on top of it and try his luck bidding in the auction.
Note: the numbers are purely fictional

You have a point, only if i had the cash but as naal said, it's the biggest mistake to keep large ammounts of isk in your wallet, trust comes upon friendship only, what a lot have probably asked you already to do is a risk you have to take, risk=reward
This auction will end at 80-90 bils, but your bpo worth a lot more
Who to trust is a hard question, its up to you I have 3 people in my mind that i can vouche for them even without knowing them or be friend with, and no they are not in my corp
Best of luck and i hope your bpo ends to the right hands and for the proper isks

So you are saying the Hulk BPO is worth 125b then
I guess you really dont know what you are talking about.
I dont see any annouced that there is_ a hidden reserve, but i guess thats hidden aswell

The value of such BPO's is irrelevent; no BPO will go for too much above 50-60bn because of the simple fact that nobody is stupid enough to keep that amount of assets in isk...
Chant its value at 90-125bn all you want; nobody has that much isk available in such a short period. -------- Shinra Director

You situation is a bit different since you just made a business out of having actual ISK in your wallet. Plus once you loan ISK out (eg. invest), you will also have no ISK in wallet (but loanee's assets) so you will end up in the same bin as rest of us. _________________________________________
