BMBE
Are you short just a few billion ISK to make that final bid to win this auction Or - are you flat broke but *simply need* to have it
The BMBE can help you
Loans up to as much as 50B ISK are offered, with weekly interest rates as low as 2.5%.
If you happen to be able to offer security in the form of t2 BPO's, the BMBE will even keep these in production for you for the duration of the loan.
For lots more details on the BMBE and the types of loans offered have a look at the BMBE website
Happy bidding

so you make about 6.3 ships a week. current profit is about 450mils, lets just say 400mils since prices may drop a little although unlikely since the people buying these will have teh brains to not let it drop below 400mils isk.
more than 2.5bil isk a week profit.

Sorry to do this as I am getting tired of all the Convos. 1.I DONT WANT TO HAVE SOMEONE MAKE THEM AND GIVE ME SOME/ALL/NONE of the Profits I just want to sell the Thing and get shut as Getting it was the easy part. 2.I put no Buyout but people keep offering things. Isks and BPs and Ships if you want to offer things like that put it on the board. Stop Convoing me PLEASE. 3.If it doesn't stop the parties in question will be blocked and have no chance of winning auction. 4 I have been advised to put in a reserve by someone I trust as I have made the auction to end too quickly. 5 The winner will recieve the BPo as soon as I can transfer it after the auction. There is no waiting time.(Unless her indoors says where going out on Bank Holiday Monday(Please God No) in which case it will be evening when you recieve) 6 The BPo is in safe space and the only person who will be told where and when is the winner. No I dont want to stitch the winner for half the money. 7 I hope I dont have to make anymore Rules or do any blocking thanks for your time
Will class this as todays Bump

I hate hidden reserves. Makes bidding feel like a waste of time until you mention we hit it. Post reserve and buyout already, even if the buyout may seem a bit sick.

I advise posting reserve if possible. This will make the process much more "unpleasant" for buyers and will assure somebody actually hits your target minimum price.

Last I checked, bpos tend to sell for what they make in isk per year. Not going to do the math & spoil it for potential buyers, but pls, I dont want to hear people whining about how much it is, etc. This is one if not the best bpo in game atm.

Reserve is not really important as if it isnt far from it then would prob sell. But as for a Buyout How can you put a price on something no one knows what its worth. If I put too much then I am being greedy if I put too little then Im being a Idiot and everyone will have there idea of what the ideal price is and it wont be the same for 2 people

Archmage, as I remarked in my personal mail and in convo the other day... The real value of this bpo is beyond what a single entity or even a group of people can gather together.
To gather this much, it is necessary to sell off assets in 'fire sale' style, well under market value of items. If one had more time and knew reserve price, one could take their time to sell items at their real value.... Unfortunately, not knowing reserve and not being reasonably sure about the auction outcome, one would not go thru this procvess only to find himself not obtaining the BPO in the end due to some unrealistics reserve price.
I am only asking for it as I need to see if I should be going thru the effort of sacrificing billions of ISK by fire selling other assets to gather funds for this purchase. Nobody carries 50b+ in their wallets in ISK since sitting ISK are depreciating ISK (everyone invests most of their money to make more ISK).
I hope the reasoning above is sensible enough to establish reserve price or admitting you have no idea, which is fine. If the latter is true, you should just say there is no reserve and you WILL sell to whoever higher bidder is.
Thanks.

Would it be possible to state your reserve please. This will determine if I want to keep on bidding and going thru the motion of gathering funds or just let it go since it will not be possible to gather this much anyways... Or just state you will sell at top price offered here.

Naal's reasoning is valid on all counts and posting youre reserve will only beneffit you in this auction.
Lets assume for a moment that youre reserve is 300 bil. A potential buyer will look at his wallet which only shows 200 bil and quick sell some of his bpos to be able at least to meet youre 300 bil reserve + a bit more on top of it and try his luck bidding in the auction.
Note: the numbers are purely fictional

You have a point, only if i had the cash but as naal said, it's the biggest mistake to keep large ammounts of isk in your wallet, trust comes upon friendship only, what a lot have probably asked you already to do is a risk you have to take, risk=reward
This auction will end at 80-90 bils, but your bpo worth a lot more
Who to trust is a hard question, its up to you I have 3 people in my mind that i can vouche for them even without knowing them or be friend with, and no they are not in my corp
Best of luck and i hope your bpo ends to the right hands and for the proper isks

You situation is a bit different since you just made a business out of having actual ISK in your wallet. Plus once you loan ISK out (eg. invest), you will also have no ISK in wallet (but loanee's assets) so you will end up in the same bin as rest of us. _________________________________________

Being a owner of one of the BPOs myself, I'm curiously watching this auction. Not because I ever intend on selling my own (even if I could buy a new car with what it's worth on ebay) but to observe human nature at it's finest. I'm not the only one who is curious in this way, I've already had a dozen convos ingame asking me if I was watching this thread.
Personally, if it were me and I didn't have the skills to produce it, I would invest in a character that did and use it myself. The BPO is MUCH more valuable kept than sold in the long run. I may be different than most people as far as what I want out of it though. For me it is just a way to have more fun in the game and explore areas that I couldn't before such as getting another char/account and doing some PvP and larger projects than I could have attempted previously.
I kind of hope the price goes so high that only a large alliance can afford it and buys it based on logistic and strategic value, not isk value. Less competition for the rest of us on the retail market if it is used internally by an alliance.
I have some idea of what he is going through, friends suddenly pop out of the woodwork and scammers see you as a bullseye. Several of you here have already broken his rule multiple times about ingame communications and trying to sway him this way or that. If it were me I'd be blocking people that couldn't respect the auction rules too.
For those of you complaining about the potential price or how the auction is run, you can't expect an investment of this magnitude to be without risk, especially when there is so much competition for it. No harm in trying though and some very valid points were brought up so I'm not bashing anyone or complaining myself. That being said, the seller has every right to run the auction in whatever way he sees fit and if you don't like it, don't participate.
I'd be willing to bet that this is the most watched single thread on the forums atm, pretty cool if you like people watching.

i dont see how this can be a serious bid if you bid right under the reserve so that the next bit reaches the reserve. if it was a serious bid one would assume that you would bid at the reserve and not 200 mil short of it??????????????????? sorry, but i buy alot of stuff off of ebay and the only time i see this behaviour is when sellers try to artificially prop up thier bids with other accounts, or other people trying to disrupt the bidding????????????

In standard auctions if you bid below the reserve you don't have to purchase if the seller decided he will accept the price. You are given the option to purchase at your offer but it is not binding.

So next bid is 75 billion. I need to get drunk before that happens.
Quote: no BPO will go for too much above 50-60bn because of the simple fact that nobody is stupid enough to keep that amount of assets in isk...
Some people are stupid enough to think if their wallet amount is high enough the "You win" window will finally pop up.
I'm still waiting for it.

Im quilified for 75b isk, you told us all that hte reserve was 75b isk, there of my bid and to basicly have someone to bid over me. I cant see anywhere that you state that you will sell it close to reserve either so i assume i can meaby get it cheaper then by retracting my bid and let the auction go on, the only winner here is not you, not me.. but TornSoul.
Bid retracted due to unknown factors as 'selling close to reserve' and due to i might get it cheaper
Ill be here 5 minutes bvefore auction ends and we will see how will get it

As for pulling because of not being able to find the bit about being close to reserve TRAXMAN its in post 24. And if you read post 1 it says serious bids only All those of you who are slagging me off wait till you have something like this. Its an UNKNOWN Item.NO-ONE except CCP know what it is worth prob. I have never run an auction and as such could only go by what people told me. But its amazing how many people there are too keep giving you advice. Then when you do take the advice they give you ,you get knocked by other people and sometimes by the peple who gave you the advice. Please stop having a go at me and just bid for the thing if you want it

Dear Archmage Raistlin.
Since you're much more educated on the auction rules and general trading now, I wonder if you would find it ok to talk to me in game about certain risk free (for you anyway) arrangement we could make. I hope you can give me a benefit of doubt since I am the highest bidder and at the same time I talked to you from the very biginning offering down to earth good deal with certain trade offer (which in my eyes is still the highest absolute value you received to date, but I understand your refusal).
Since you know the value of your BPO, I think you will find it pleasant to learn about my new option. It will allow you to get most value for your bpo without any inherent risks which others' proposals are certainly posing (down to complete 'give bpo and I make (most likely run)' "deals" you no doubt received to date).
Thank you and please feel free to contact me at your convenience.

If you wish to offer these put current value with item. And please don't exagerate about prices. Honestly. Cancel the auction and keep the BPO. If you need isk, sell a hulk. It doesn't take much effort to make. If your lazy, buy minerals at higher prices so they are in the local system, your still gonna make a HUGE profit!
Isk is losing value everyday. Its not worth selling it unless you want to buy a titan badly

Now that the auction is over and finally see that my estimate on isk that people have was right, i need to say WOW you got it VERY cheap mate
the bpo will make the isk within 100 days, this is less than 1/3 of how tech 2 bpos/value/isk is calculated,
Arch mate you could have built the damn ship and make 82 bils in the 100 days period i mension, THEN sell the bpo and make 100+ bils from that as well, you are now 100+ bils under than you should,
As for the trust thing i understand that you can't trust anybody in agame, but damn mate, you can trust NAGA, at least 99.99999999999% of people in eve do, not me not naal not DD not trax but hey NAGA is NAGA
82 bils is fine, but it's not enough (Yes i am greedy) more is always better :)
Take care mate and hope the money will be well spent/invested

I agree i don't think you got nearly enough for this. You should have traded it for a bunch of other T2 BPOs and then sold those in auctions over time. You'd get way more in isk value because the pool of potential bidders is much bigger - more people have lots of T2 BPOs than there are people with lots of isk. Then you also have a safer portfolio holding some T2 BPOs and some isk. And finally it would be like stripping a car - fancy cars are worth more sold as parts than they are sold as a whole.
Plus you could just keep the BPOs you got in exchange idle and that would be hilarious.
I would have posted a thread asking how to structure such an auction and probe for bankers willing to underwrite loans or suggestions on how to make a list of serious bidders who could then offer mixtures of cash and assets annonymously.
But I can only imagine the greif this has put you through. Apparently massive state lottery winners are more often than not unhappy people afterwards. This BPO is just pixels in a game ffs.

I proposed T2 BPOs option (a very fair value at that, Astarte + Nighthawk BPO + ISK at the time when OP was advertising his bpo on BP Channel for the first time, before this auction started. He had top offer of 30bil and ALMOST sell it to somebody for that amount...) but it was met with refusal even though I argued exactly the same as the poster above.
It is much easier to sell smaller BPOs since more people can afford them and I know some people would pay top isk to have the ones above.

Well he obviosly want alot of isk right now. What hes gonna use it for we can only speculate, but im sure he knows that if he had kept on to it he could earn twice as much.

This was an exciting auction.
I loved the way lots of people were trying to tell this guy how do do his auction or talk him out of it or whatever. I'd have been as annoyed as he apparently was.
Congrats to the winner. Both side got what they wanted and that sounds like a good deal to me.

Wow. You know, you take a trip, off the internet for a few days. Look at what you miss.
Lessons learned:
1) Never take a trip 2) Never be off the internet for longer than it takes to take a crap 3) Never believe that the price of Tech 2 BPOs will go down (except for tech 2 missile BPOs, yuck puuuuwwwwweeeeee).
I feel poor now after seeing some of these bids.

To all those who are saying I could of got more why didnt you bid to all those who say I should of kept Im typing this on a computer in a Cybercafe 250 miles from my computer with Eve on it.To those who offered BPs you where told to put it in this Forum but none of you did. And Naals didnt offer 2 BPo and Isk he offered 2 BPos and NO isks and they where worth 70 Bill by his estamates. Anyone who wants to see the ingame message I will forward to. I am happy with what I got. Dont know if the escrow has been claimed yet so cant tell. But I have ships ordered to the value of 5 bill and all my Corp mates have got a new battleship each. Thank You to those who defended me to the rest. I dont really care

82 bil is enough to keep someone very happy for a lifetime in EVE. Just think of all the tech 2 ships you can afford to lose with that amount of money .. jeez, that would be fun. Good luck to both parties involved, hope you both enjoy. .....
