Taking reservations for a 20 billion ISK unsecured investment with a 3 month duration beginning March 1 and ending May 31, and paying 5% per month. Minimum investments of 100 million ISK please. Please don't send ISK until instructed to do so, thanks!
I reserve the right to give past investors priority. See "History" below for a link.
Effective return on investment = 3 months * 5% per month = 15%
This offering is largely prompted by me having too many irons in the fire liquidity-wise at the moment, so the ISK from this investment will give me chance to pull each iron out one-at-time, as I've got a ridiculously large amount of assets tied-up in an unmarketable form at the moment.
History It's been nearly 3 years since my first offering, but this current offering is basically the same:
[BOND #1] 10 billion, paying 7.5%, 3 months, unsecured (FINISHED)
One thing to note about that offering is that I even paid investors a 1% bonus amount above the promised 7.5% amount. The effective return on their investment was 23.5% See posts 50 and 51 in that thread for details.
Some may balk at the amount of the current offering being double my last, but it has been quite a long time since then, and my activities have also grown a lot since then. I was tempted to make this offering for 50 billion ISK, but I thought that was even more likely to be ridiculed.
About Me I consider myself an industrialist, but not a carebear despite currently residing in hisec. I'm very active on the forums ranked at #30 top poster, posting primarily in the Science & Industry, EVE New Citizens Q&A, and Skill Discussions forums. I enjoy helping others, and hope to help them enjoy EVE as much as I do. Pretty much everything there is to know about me I've posted at one time or another.
I started EVE 2009-02-23, about a week before the Apocrypha expansion was released; it added the New Player Experience (NPE), tutorials, attribute remaps, SoE arc, etc., and w-space. After about a month or two in hisec (primarily in Amarr space, despite being born Caldari), I spent the next ~2.75 years of life living in w-space, which helped me become even more paranoid and suspicious than I already naturally was.
Other than past investors, the best known person to vouch for my trustworthiness is mega-industrialist Proton Power and his army of alts, notably Chris Smith. He still has an alt in my corp with director roles (actually it was his corp until he gave me the CEO position). When not borrowing my BPO, he's trying to convince me to join him shooting stuff in nulsec.
Additional Info Feel free to post here or EVE-mail me privately if you have any questions, or want additional info. I'll do my best to fulfill the request. |

Hi Tau!
I was just wondering why you don't use your assets for collateral and secure a lower rate if they are currently tied up in an unmarketable form? Those would seem to be the perfect type of assets to secure a bond with. There are two types of EVE player:
those who believe there are two types of EVE player and those who do not. |

Actually, still 12B to go. I think you may have double counted 2B reserve from Arancar Australis because of my quoted reply.

The whole point of this exercise is to convert them into a more marketable form so I can clear them out, so I wouldn't want to tie them up as collateral. |

Unless you have a burning desire to join a small npc null PVP corp and by some miracle have no contacts in such entities after all these years i can't see that my good-will credit is worth much to anyone. I've been thinking of moving to nulsec for a long time, but for many reasons I've not been able to find a corp that seemed a fit for my many interests. Now maybe I have another one to consider.

So please, just send send the reserved 5B when convenient. Thanks! |

Well if you want to chat mail me privately or convo me. I am head of recruitment anyway and don't really do the hard sell. For smaller groups it is more important that everyone wants similar things and that everyone gets along. Money at its root is a form of rationing. Quick Update:
* A corpmate with an idle 20b ISK told me he would have loaned me the ISK at a much more favorable rate. I completely forgot to ask him.
* I placed orders for ~11b in minerals. Another corpmate placed orders for ~50b in minerals. Chaos ensued as we didn't realize the other had placed mineral orders, and we both started hauling minerals away from the deliveries hangar. For a while I was feeling quite smug, yet confused, having quadrupled my investment so easily.
* One of my spreadsheets was never really adequate, so I fixed that. After starting manufacturing jobs based on the new spreadsheet, I was unexpectedly very short of materials. Re-checking my spreadsheet revealed that I had overlooked some material changes CCP made.
* While updating material changes in another spreadsheet I noticed a huge, enormous, OMGWTFBBQ size of error that probably cost me a lot of ISK in the past. After overhauling that spreadsheet I still noticed that there was a lot of amplification: a small change in prices made an unexpectedly large difference. After updating prices and triple-checking everything, I was happily surprised to see that profits would be about double what I previously expected.
Overall things are progressing slower than I would have hoped, but still well.

Your story of spreadheet woe is why i use a very different system on my manufacturing alt. i use iph to make sure i am building stuff that is profitable and using the correct thingy for invention i don't really look at which thing is most profit. i don't keep track of mats i have. stock, profits or anything really. I have no spreadsheet of my own. i just buy stuff, haul build, move back to market and sell. i have 10 lines going 24/7 invention and build and no POS. The reason i do it this way i because i am lazy and wouldn't update my spreadsheets or anything else that would be needed. If people like yourself struggle on occaision then i would have no chance. I don't like third-party tools, as they don't present the data in a manner I personally find most useful.
I once shared a spreadsheet with a corpmate, and he found it totally useless for his own needs. Personal taste I guess.
One spreadsheet which remains very out of date (I have a separate hangar of BPO not on the spreadsheet), tracks my entire BPO inventory. It is primarily outdated because when I started it years ago, I chose a very poor layout that is extremely tedious to maintain. It wasn't until my BPO collection had grown to a significant size that the foundation cracks began to appear. I'm still mulling over a good way do it; layout and breaking it down into parts and sub-assemblies and such.
My spreadsheets are an issue, simply because until this bond I was coasting along. Now that I'm working with other people's ISK again, I take that very seriously, so it is incentive to do more than just continue coasting. |

Interest payments for March have gone out:
Proton Power: 250 million ISK Vaerah Vahrokha: 250 million ISK Arancar Australis: 100 million ISK RavenPaine: 50 million ISK Mr JLB Matekoni: 250 million ISK Silvetica Dian: 100 million ISK
A brief summary for March:
Current Bond Wallet: 15,546,070,322.64 ISK Current Sell Orders: 3,789,016,109 ISK Est. In-Production Value: 24.6 billion ISK
Est. Change after expenses: +9,496,318,739 ISK
The amount in the bond wallet is misleading, as it has been active. Further, I expect the bond wallet balance to drop significantly in April as production progresses; May's activity should be dominated by sales for the end of the bond.
Worth noting is that I replenished my POS fuel stockpile with a 365 day supply.
