Yes, it does and i have yet to hear an argument besides the "amarr have thick armor, we should go faster" one.
That is the worst argument in the history of worst arguments. It you don't get that, it's too late. - _____

Originally by: Nikolai Nuvolari Amarrian ships have stronger thrusters, which mean they go FASTER. Turning is about intertia, and the heavier you are, the more inertia you have, and the harder it is to turn.
How the **** do you know what Caldari ships are made out of? How the hell do you know that shield generators or any other unique piece of Caldari technology doesn't require super dense materials?
Thats right, you don't know, nobody does.
The Caldari designers probably never gave a **** about being heavy because they operate at long range, they don't have to make the ship as light as possible. It's not a priority.
Amarr have many more close range ships then Caldari, we need our speed and intertia a lot more then you do. The same goes for Gallente/Minnies.

Well we could go with the ship descriptions of the fastest Ammar ships that state that they are departures from traddtional Ammar ship desgin...you get the 2 sec cyrstal swap speed to compensate for for being slow assed ships...
The ball is in your court...you don't know vs Ammar ship descriptions
Learn the game foo.
We have 2sec crystal swap because we have ****ty falloff.
If you look at the stats, you'll see that the Raven and Apoc share the same top speed. Same with the MOA and Maller. Amarr ships are just lighter and that relates to agility; not something mentioned in the Executioners description.
In other words, everything is fine. Stop whining - _____

Its not the BS class ships I worry about but the smaller rail based ships, I have mentioned actual background info to explain the low base speed of the ammar ships...nonthing in the game background justifes the the caldari ship weight...take the harpy manuversrs like a curiser...not a frigate.
You mean the Harpy which can spit out antimater at 20km, 80km with t2 ammo? The Eagle at 40km+ and even more insane ranges with long range t2 ammo. These ships need speed to close range?

Maintaining your range is just as important whether you're in a close range ship or a long range ship. A Moa needs to stay at its optimal just as much as a Thorax needs to stay it its own optimal.
