After a week of Siege, hundreds of battleships lost on both sides, ERA pull back from BKG.
Our trial by fire is over, nothing but respect for the forces of D2. We are now ready to go home.
The ERA/OSS - D2/RzR/NFC ceasefire will begin at 1700 on Sunday 16th April and continue until Wednesday 19th April at 1700. After this point hostilities will be resumed.
Safe Flight All.

Seems Parmi beat me to it. But the questions still stands, do you guys actually claim a region or just use the old 5 regions?

The People have finally been heard!
It took months of protests, demonstrations, industrial action, and letter writing campaigns to Space Congressmen, but I for one am glad that both sides have stopped fighting.
With this unilateral pullout from the IRA-Q constellation I predict only good things to happen in the Branch region. This show of trust and peace will surely calm the hearts of the Guristas terrorist insurgency in ways that violence and bloodshed could never hope to accomplish.

Props to D2 for their logistical organization in this.
Looking forward to fights that involve less than 600 pilots and 10 PoS'es.

More propaganda from the pixie wing of galactic politics! The only path to freedom and security is war against those who threaten the very fabrics of our starfaring societies! When barefoot protesters succeed in derailing a just war billions of people across countless systems are exposed to an increased risk of tyranny and terrorism. I hope that those who undermined our leaders' efforts to resolve this conflict in favour of peace and democracy will hang their heads in shame when they are proved wrong. I hope it, but I do not expect to see it. When Branch falls to insurgent violence, when the *****stations are re-onlined and mining lasers again seer the innocent flesh of political dissenters, we will hear the protesters' voices rising again with the old cry, "why aren't we doing something?".

Of course the New "Freedom" Coalition will stand by the "ceasefire" agreement.
As found in chapter 3 of my "People's History of Cloud Ring", the Imperial Republic of the North also entered into Cloud Ring and butchered the indigenous Serpentis residents there as well. History repeats itself all over again, only this time IRON has taken a page straight out of Orwell and renamed themselves as the New Freedom Coalition. How patronizing to assume that the indigenious Guristas would fall for a trick as low as a name change.
It is the same as it has always been. Two conquering parties, this time ERA and D2, squabble over territory while the horrified natives can only look on in terror.
And despite whatever my "esteemed" colleague Bob Novak might say, who by the way is merely a journalist and lacks any sort of pedigree graduate education, there is nothing about this war that will promote peace and tranquility. Time after time these galatic superpowers have invaded land in the name of humanitarianism. But mark my words those mining lasers will soon be used to sear the flesh out of many innocents, and it won't be because of the Guristas insurgency.

A spoof on american journalism and politics. Bob Novak is the name of an american journalist. Al Franken is a radio show host and comedian. I've heard the name Howard Zinn but I have no idea who he is. Basically nothing relating to eve really.
