What would you like to see in the expansion after Kali?
My number one feature has to be planets, planetary flight, and some sort of POS type thing on the ground.
I'd also like to see all/most of the stuff on the drawing board included in that expansion. Player built stargates, single person structiors (micro stations), player built complexes, etc.

Hopefully we'll have a new Emperor by then, so I'll plump for divisional wallets which will no doubt be dumped from Kali the same as they were from Shiva.

But besides that.
You ask for faaar too much.
Tbh, I think we need to wait till post-Kali before we can get a true idea of how Kali has impacted gameplay and thus what extra things need to be brought into the game.
Edit: Cake would be good though. ______________________

If CCP allows for too much player building the game will end up like Star Wars Galaxies. Have you ever been to a Star Wars Galaxies player build town? They suck. They're basically convience areas with no rhyme or reason. Every NPC you could ever hope to have in a city is right there at the center, all of them. And honestly, Galaxies sucked; so repeating that would do...?

By the very nature of combat balancing, it will never, ever be finished. ------- There is no magic Wand of Fixing, and it is not powered by forum whines. |

Haven't played SWG, but planets need something, if you had a version of POS's on the planet that could be used to collect a new kind of resource (POS built stargate fuel maybe?) have planet based combat (imagine a dread with planetary bombardment cannons) fighting planetary defense guns while fighters (inties/frigs) are fighting in the atmosphere with fleet battles out in space. It would just add more to the game. signature removed - please email us if you want to know why - Oldmailman([email protected])

Before more content there are other fundamental matters that need looking at first IMO. - Mining, should me nore than just drag an drop, Windows-Minesweeper is more fun. - 0.0 space, still not attractive enough for the majority of ppl - Pirating, there are many game machanics missing for this to function and sentries in low sec make any negotiation longer than a couple secs impossible. There is no pirating in EVE atm all we see is ganking. - Empire Space, still too secure and unsecure at the same time, its too easy to grief on noobs and its too profitable with no real risks. From what I remember from beta days it was never CCPs intention to have the majority of ppl in empire space and it was also never CCPs intention to have noobs war decced and ganked in their first month. Ppl would start out in the noob space where its safe but with no good income, then slowly take up more risk and move up to the more profitable areas and finally end up in 0.0. - Fleet Battles, blobbing is still the most viable tactic, its laggy, boring and will kill EVE in the long run. What we need is an area effect weapon with a 20km range or something, effective against a blob but an organised fleet with multiple wings and tasks would be less effected. Mini-doomsday device on dreads maybe? Make it siege-mode only so the risk is becoming an immobile target. (the terran siege tank from starcraft comes in mind, or their race equivalent models lurker & reaver)
And many more... but no more fancy toys pls, EVE needs its fundamentals being looked at soon.

about SWG cities and such...
SWG was great at one point. All that was missing was that the cities wouldnt go BOOM! so it became like secure cans in eve, but a billion times worse...about SWG cities and such...

Fixes to the existing bugs and problems. Personally, I couldn't care less if they delayed the launch of Kali until after they've fixed the bugs brought in by the blood patch.
Seeing what happened after a relatively minor update like Blood Lines, the day before they release Kali, I am going to set a 30 day skill training and wait until it's finished before I log in again.

I bet CCP doesnt even know what comes after Kali.
Just have a look at the features and ideas forum, there is a sticky in there, asking the players that they should post 10-points list with what they want to see next, what should be worked on.
Go there, post your top-ten, read the other posts, do a spread-sheet to find the most named proposal and know whats next in line. ________________________________________________

Kali working properly?
ColdWar isn't working properly yet. RMR is a heap of bugged to hell features. And there are some older problems around too. --*=*=*-- Megadon CCP wanted a well known artist and celebrity to test the new font so it's approval would be well known. They got Ray |

The most ridiculous piece of untruth I've seen posted today!!
I quit SWG due to the NGE. Referencing the "Original SWG" it's impossible to say "player building is stupid". My guild had a VERY lively city. From the numerous combatants searching for special weapons listed on my vendors to Bounty Hunters staking out unsuspecting Jedi who were using the cities facilities.
Our city had seen MANY battles take place within it's limits even though the guild did not formulate events or PvP engagments. The City of NI on Lok had seen A LOT!
Player owned facilities add to a sense of reward to intice some to continue playing. Seeing a graphical repersentation of your hard work while being able to interact with the creation _IS_ what this game is about; while others try to take it away.
I would like:
A feature where I can see the ships being built in a giving facility I occupy. Having the option to "view ship construction" would be amazing if it showed the ship being built on the chassis from the ground up.
Dynamic hangar environments. "View personal hangar" would be nice if it showed the loot, item and ships you have located in the hangar you're viewing. Could the 1000 item cap been a precursor to this? It would be very immersive to open your hangar after a mission to see the homeless you picked up standing next to those fanzy airbikes that are parked infront of the crates of refined ore that the strippers are dancing on!!
In all respect, EVE Online will benefit from "dynamic player environments" although it could inadvertantly increase installation size. It would be good to hear the average player stays with EVE-O for 12 months rather then 6.

Still waiting for super-massive asteroid belts (taps foot impatiently).
I really don't want system-wide belts, and while comets are high on the "ooo neat" factor the practicalities and functionality are still questionable, then GAS CLOUD MINING is also very desirable to me as well but would be another specialty mining situation which may be too much like Ice Mining and then we may end up needing a 4th Exhumer to super-specialize in that so that's just more headache than usefulness right now.
but super-massive belts have been promised for ages, and would be perfectly useable "out of the box" by anyone that can of course get to them.
as far as I'm concerned, they can just be a belt that is gargantuan from end to end, but also is literally a amoebic mass of rocks that are so thick you canÆt even see through them.
also, by virtue of how many rocks are in the belt, it should also regenerate ôprettyö fast, say at twice the normal rate of other belts, otherwise itÆs not exactly much of a ôsuper massiveö belt if itÆs thinned out and takes ages to come back.
As for their distribution, I think any system that currently has more than say 10 belts already should have at least 1 super massive belt as well, as a sign that this is a VERY rock-included system. Systems with 5 normal belts or less would have maybe a 50/50 chance of having a super massive belt, so that the belts wonÆt be rare, but wonÆt be in every single system either.
I just think with the mining equipment getting pretty decent improvements in recent months, and mining operations getting more and more organized with the benefits of mind links helping them (FINALLY) that the normal belts are little more than an appetizer for any really good operation, and often the rocks are simply grains of sand in a strand of sand grains.
IÆm not asking for ômoon sizedö rocks of anything, just a belt where the regeneration-cap for that system security level is raised to that of the same ore in a lower security level would have so that the rocks in a super massive belt could potentially reflect their ôsuper massive beltö status if left alone (which they never would be, but itÆs a good idea anyway).
Also, CCP, stop teasing us with speculation and vague hints from devs in blogs and interviewsà tell us about CAPITAL CLASS MINING SHIPS!
I have an idea of what such a thing would be and do for a mining op, but of course an end to the speculation and a bit more firm idea of whatÆs being hashed over about their potential inception would be nice. There was hinting at freighters upwards of a year before the first pictures even were let out, so there is precedent for such sneaky development of a ship under the radar, but with the multiple hints and mentioning of such a class in blogs and interviews in the not too distant past, it makes me eager to hear more, even if itÆs only conceptual plans and ideas for them.
