Fleet warp.
simple ideal. all ships jump at the same time.
How, Simple. all ships would line up, there warp systems would charge, but say the Friget charged and rdy for warp he would simple be in a waiting mode till all the other ships in his gang have also gotten too warp ready.
once all the ships have entered warp ready mode, they jump and your gang shows up too the target at 1 time.
2nd ideal
gang warp at Range, the ugly choice of 15 km for everyone is rather ugly at time.

that's why you pre-align and get to speed- once everyone is up tospeed, it takes about the same time no matter what ship it is.
Though this would definately be easier and make more sense :)

I'd prefer to see formation flying.
regroup/warp gang into defined formations e.g. reversed echelon - so you don't have that comfused mass of ships all trying to get out of each others way.

Why not set up an FTL system for large enough gang, using the friction of all the ships to open a faster then light rift to jump to the next system. Maybe as an equipment and skill upgrade

Just FYI you can change the warp in distance of your gang warp by changeing your default warp in range. Messy I know but just a way to do what you need till its fixed.

What I was talking about on the FTL setup is bypassing stargates by opening a warp rift, course taking damage without the right skills or equipment.

what if you would startup your "new improved" gang warp and one of the members gets scrambled? will the whole group be scrambled?
