My proposal is to create a module that can be fitted in hi, med, or low slot. This moduse can use cpu/pg (liike turret), works only in hi sec, can be activated only automaticaly when someone shoot in players ship and puts ship in some kind of "reinforced " mode where it takes no damage.
And make obligatory agreement window in direct trade, which show items ande amounts of isks |

Wow, poorly disguised "remove non-consenting pvp from eve" thread. NO
For reasons of wanting content and player interaction, which invulnerability removes.
To be clear, Undocking is consent to PVP, because you are game content to everyone else. Do your best to stay alive, but unless you stay docked at all times, it should not be impossible to kill your ship. Don't undock what you can't afford to lose Get some Eve. Make it yours.

I propose a new anti suicide mod.
When someone less than a year old attempts to jump into lowsec in a ship worth over a bil, a mechanical hand mounted on their computer repeatedly smack them in the face, then asks them if they are sure they want to jump.
We could apply the same thing to higsec and flying a freighter worth 5 Bil or more.
Oh and having the warning only is not an option. The mechanical hand must provide satisfactory feedback that it has slapped someone in the face before the warning can be issued. |

Heh, when you think 40 Tornados are your problem you have no idea how this game works. Anyway, dont transport sonething worth billions in a ship that has less than 30k HP or a scanable Cargobay.
No, realy, your point of view is blinded by false asumptions and bad understanding of how the game works. You want a godmode because you are to lazy to actually try to understand the game.
There are solutions out there for your "problem", the method you propose here comes from the mind of a coward unable to think for himself. 97% of girls would die if Justin Bieber were about to jump off a cliff. Post this in your sig if you`re part of the 3% yelling,

BTW: 1400 Arty is a bad weapon for suicide ganking, please inform yourself on how ganking realy works. Game giave an opotunity for some group of people to do what tey want with near 100% probability, i just want that other gpoup of people to avoid this with the same probabillity, and don't "**** brick's" when saw our friends on trashers/tornados ).
As you said it's a game, and maybe I dont want to spend my time for understanding, I want to just play, cause I already have work? And who wrote about godmode. Developers could make strict conditions for this module didn't they? |

No, your "idea" is basicaly a godmode.
What you dont seem to understand, people will not field 40 Tornados just for funzies, they do so as long as they can make a large profit.
Your problem is, you are afraid because you fear something that you do not understand, kind of like children are afraid of "Monsters from below the bed".
I dont tell you to read every single info about game mechanics but to read about the ships you will be flying for transportation, what are their benefits and drawbacks, what can you do to protect them and how many DPS are required to kill your ship in less than 8s.
Use Freighters for large ammounts of cheap stuff Use T2 Transports for Medium ammounts of expensive stuff Use Interceptors, Cov Ops Transports, T3 or any other fast alligning ship for extreme high value stuff like officer Items.
Just saying, there are people out there casualy transporting large ammounts of cargo in lowsec and they do quite fine, even without the protection of CONCORD.
And one last point, there is no save place in EVE and no module that gives you temporary safety. Either deal with the cruel truth, that you can and will loose your ship when you do stupid stuff (like transporting 2b worth of modules in an untanked iteron V), or quit the game because THIS is THE game mechanic defining EVE 97% of girls would die if Justin Bieber were about to jump off a cliff. They have said on many occasions that highsec does not mean absolute safety. That if people are willing to suicide gank someone for whatever reason, that it is a perfectly acceptable game mechanic and entirely supported by CCP.
You are asking for a module that automatically turns your ship invincible long enough for concord to come along and kill your suicide gankers. A module that without effort, thought, or interaction protects you from people trying to kill your ship. And you will never get it.
I'm sure CCP has considered it, while they were compiling a list of "Ways to make EVE into Hello Kitty Online". But it is a module that goes against the basic tenet of eve. Risk Vs Reward. Unless you risk, you deserve no reward.
Temporary safety exists in eve. It's called being in station. |

EVE is not for the apathetic, the lazy, the unwilling to understand or the "I just want to play" crowd. It is not for the "average MMO player" who wants effortless entertainment and expects to always get the cookie every time. It is not for the casual, the thin-skinned, the morals-obsessed or anyone who believes that justice, fairness and "the right thing" should always prevail.
In short, the problem is not EVE. The problem is not gatecamps. The problem is not 1400mm Artillery.
The problem is you.

Wait wait. I think this guys idea has merit. Let's implement this module as the OP wants it. But we will also have to remove all missions, rats, ores and trade hubs from hi-sec as well in order to keep the risk vs. reward in balance. Sound good? ... |

Or we could leave it in the form he wants, and just give it an appropriately sized invuln reinforcement timer. Say..... 5 days. Ofc like all other reinforcement timers, immobility would be a factor, persistent through downtime. Making the ships location static across downtimes would be a required aspect as well.
That would mean the cargo would be temporarily safe, but the ship would be sitting there in space for the entire five days counting down to zero. And when zero hits, out of reinforced comes a pinata that has been broadcasting its value worth ganking and the time when the party starts for the better part of a week.
Honestly, I'm kind of liking this idea. I could see people cruising through highsec, seeing a freighter pinata about to come out of Reo, then gathering their friends for an impromptu party, ready to kill the freighter coming out of reinforcement at the traditional 25% health remaining. |
