I've been running level 3 missions for a while, all from Command agents. However, every now and then I get a 'storyline' mission - always from a level 1(?), Legal, agent. Is this normal or broken? When can I expect my storyline missions to catch up?
(It's pretty silly to haul my BS back across empire to blast 3 8k frigates away...)

Do all the stroyline missions, common rewards are basic implants and the stroyline missions give very big standing increase.

Yes...do all the missions...but the question is: what determines the level of the storyline missions and the type of agent that hands them out? Is it my standing with my original starter corp? (Because that is where the agents who give them to me come from.) My standing with Amarr Navy is like 9, but they never give me a storyline mission.

id like to know these answers as well...how many missions must you run before you get storyline missions anyway?

You get 1 storyline mission every 16 normal ones.
I'm not 100% sure they have to be 16 ones of the same level or whether the game keeps separate tallies for each level, but the storyline agent who contacts you is of the same faction you ran most of those 16 missions for.

Hmmm, I'm pretty sure that storyline agents don't a have Level or Quality attached to them. It's just replaced by "Storyline".
Not saying that they won't offer level 1-rank missions though.
Also seems that if you're doing missions for one corporation all of the time, you will get storyline missions from agents who also work for that corporation. That's certainly been the case with me recently although it could be coincidence. This is a really good thing as you get a huge standing boost with the corporation who the storyline agent belongs to, which is very helpful if you're just trying to get higher quality agents.

I'm fairly sure storyline agents have a hidden level associated with them - I've done missions that nearly get my cruiser fried, so a normal frigate would be annihilated in short order.
Maybe the storyline missions are automatically scaled to you somehow?
