Doubtful. I think he genuinely believe that the things he says are revolutionary and that goons will be detroyed by his terribad propaganda. It's what happens when you take someone that's not very bright but incredibly impressionable, have him gather some knowledge basic mechanics, expose him to some of the worst smacktalk in the game. He has a lot of rage, but no ability to actually formulate a reasonable strategy. Add onto that the impatience that leads him to believe that he can be winning on day 1, and the absolute refusal for him to believe anything he is saying or doing can be wrong, and you wind up with the result we see.

Then why don't you ask him if he'll pay you that much to do it....?

I'll make a bold prediction, before the month is up Gevlon will stop funding marmite, cancel his noir contract but still claim victory.

Heres a funny story about highsec/mercs/wardecs and pvp. I visited Jita for the first time in a long time a few days ago to cash out some Caldari Navy LP that I got from this wonderful little thing called ESS. So I podded myself to the bottom station where we have an office, updated my clone and warped to 4-4.

I got insta-gibbed by some guy in a Loki. I looked at my killmail and recognized the name. YangShampo or something. He was a member of Darwins Lemmings but the noteworthy thing was: I had been insta-blapped by the exact same guy in a triple sebo 720mm Loki 2 years ago when I first started playing this terrible game.

2 years later. The same guy is still sitting on the jita undock in a triple sebo Insta-locking Loki popping pods. The point is: the names on corps and alliances change- but the people stay the same. This time they get to do it on Le Goblins dime but they would be there regardless..

I Ibised up and warped back to 4-4, let the bottom feeders feed on my rookie ship mail and then cashed out my LP undocked and they helpfully podded me to my next deployment area in Curse!

As you seem to have a bit of cash handy and the Lemmings provided you with a helpful service may I direct you to the Lemmings donation board...

Not gonna lie.. it feels pretty good getting paid to pvp. Alas, these wardecs are really putting the hurt on the average line member and I only have 9b liquid, therefore I cannot make a contribution to the lemmings today.

I've actually never talked to or met the mittani though I wouldnt mind having a chat with the man, he seems like a smart dude. I am however, very happy with the situation. I got to kill lots of lemmings (and even, surprisingly, some noir.) and I avoid having to fight a costly war with Goons over POCOs (note that they avoid having to fight one against me too, neither of us wants that). We're sharing the pie because we're the only 2 entities strong enough to fight each other for it. It would be completely irrational for either us or the goons to want to fight each other for a ressource that only brings in about 10B isk a month. We'd lose more than that in the first week of fighting each other.

Let me be clear, I, and all of RvB, including every line member I've talked to, and I talk to a lot of them, are perfectly, 100% happy with our arrangement. What the rest of you think is of no consequence, I have a responsibility to my members and no one else.

Nobody makes this many mistakes in rapid succession.

So you are scared of the goons then, and admit you do not have the capacity to win against them.

Try and at least be original in your trolling. There's a difference between having a healthy respect for the capabilities of the most powerful group in eve and being their slave. I like the goons, and they like RvB. We have a mutually beneficial relationship. If you're too dumb to see that, it's your own failing.

If they ever came for me and mine I'd give them a hell of a fight, hell, I'm even arrogant enough to think I might beat them but I ain't about to go looking for that fight. Plus RvB and goons are both too smart to let that happen.

So, has anyone actually spoken with both Mittens and Gevlon at once in comms? I could totally see Gevlon as unique personality #3 for entertainment. Nobody makes this many mistakes in rapid succession. It feels scripted, though still enjoyable.

nah, Gevlon the entity was known and public prior to even joining EVE.

Ultimately he has a luxury few other people have (and one which is often not really afforded even to the Mittani), which is literally to try every possible strategy rather than showing any particular strategic selection process in avoiding sub optimal and very expensive strategies. (ie the most effective strategy is to reroute poco customers to pcoos that are unlikely to be taken by goons or rvb any time soon), but instead we see him simply choosing to rent another expensive gold plated hammer.

I'm sure he is enjoying EVE far more, because being able to trade up large amounts of resources and then _use_ them for something is very different to most games especially WoW.
